I have been saved pretty much my whole life. I am a second-career pastor's kid (that means that my dad went into ministry from another job instead of straight from seminary). Throughout my middle school life, I was passionate about studying the Word, and about Christian Apologetics. All day, every day, I would delve into Scripture, along with commentaries and devotionals. It was an important part of my life, one that was inseparable from my mind and heart.
But my peers at my Christian school made fun of me, and I eventually I gave it up so as to not deal with the pain. Eventually, I faded in my faith walk. Nothing seemed right; God seemed distant. Where was I to turn in all of this? Where was I to go to grow in my relationship with Christ?
In the last few months, I have had a conviction to go back into the Word. To study and to work in God's path. I need to rebuild my path into Faith and Love and Peace.
That is all I know to say. This is my testimony. I still have a long way to go, as I will be 20 on Friday, November 5. But I am ever maturing in the Word and in the Lord. Peace to all my brothers and sisters, and may we all grow together as we pray and study and learn.
