On another *note* but keeping on the subject. I have the weather channel on right now and they are doing their month of Christmas music.

I just realized what they were playing and this verse rang out loud and clear in the light of this thread.

I looked it up, it is not an old Christmas song, rather one written in the 1960's by a couple who wrote it during the Cuban missle crisis in an appeal for peace.

It was written, oddly enough by a French WWII vet by the name of Noel Regney.

But his real given name was Léon Schlienger

Now why would he say the star had a tail as big as a kite?

Just dropping in, and I'm kinda stunned to see everyone opposing Contra now. He is, of course, correct. What's wrong with admitting that this comet did not have apocalyptic significance? Just curious. You guys are being really rough on this lone voice crying out in the desert.

nothing wrong with stating that, if that is all he did, But that is not how he operates. I don't think it has any apocalyptic significance either I stated what I think is more significant and left it at that. In all the posts no one claimed it was the city of God coming down from heaven. He is more like Herod jeering from the tower ramparts than a voice in the desert. If so many get a tyrannical impression from him it because that is what he impresses on other, its that simple and he has been called on it, he should listen but that is doubtful yet a pleasant surprise if it happens.

Yes, Amen! We are all brothers and sisters, I hate the Nico laitians just as much as Yeshua but that is a no-no here too so we can't mention that.

I personally think it's presumptuous to think we know anything about the universe. I think it is good to watch, study history and compare now-day happenings. Just think of the lives lost over wrong interpretation of the Bible comparable to what could be observable in the heavens.

Didn't the Church burn Galileo at the stake for heresy because he proposed heliocentrisism instead of geocentrisism ?

I feel comforted when called a a heretic when I think of how his ideas were interpreted. He was burnt at the stake for it. I have a distant relative who was the first Protestant ArchBishop of Canterbury in the Anglican Church. He also was burnt at the stake and recanted his recanting of beliefs against the Church and their doctrines. Maybe it's in the blood, I come from a long line of reformers on the one side of my family.

We should search the skies and search the Scriptures to hear what HaShem is trying to tell us, this is always a good thing!

Yep, I find it odd that some would discourage us from looking to the skies for His signs. It's not conspiracy, it's what we're supposed to do!

So I began an investigation and hundreds of hours of genealogical research. This would be on my father's father's side which actually holds many protestors, many whom came over in the 1600's from England and were Quakers. The Cranmer line which I come from starts with my 4th G Grandmother whose mother was a Cranmer. Thomas was my my 10th GGrandfather, who was named after his uncle the ArchBishop of Canterbury who served under Henry VIII all the way to Bloody Mary. His brother, my 11th GGfather was Edmund, the Arch Deacon of Canterbury.

I have been amazed at all the priest, pastors, ministers and such in my family on that side. It has been an interesting trip back in time!

Not sure I wanna be burned at the stake (I actually escaped from being burnt alive back in the 80's) but since my 20's when I started to study Revelation and the prophetic books I felt I should be prepared to be martyred, I still can never imagine denying Yeshua, not for anybody or anyone!

What was originally believed to be about 7 asteroids streaking across the sky caused by comet Ison appears to be nothing of the sort.

The darkness of the early morning was broken as the night changed to daylight in an extraordinary show of falling stars that lit up the sky. The sudden sonic booms as if 7 explosions happened one after the other caused multiple accidents all over Israel when many drivers were caught off guard from the white lights and booms.

The objects were seen coming in from the East at an estimated speed of 35,000 mph, but what has shocked and frightened everyone is that their speed quickly reduced, and then it happened.

They changed their course.

This is not the first time unexplained lights have hovered over Jerusalem, and what had happened 2 years ago when a similar event took place, made this event look as if the first was a scout and now the main event has arrived.

The objects are about 2 miles up, and have the appearance as if there is a sea of glass beneath them like some sort of shield.

Hannibal you are so funny. Actually I doubt anyone would have been able to see anything in the night sky over Jerusalem I heard they are still looking for people lost in an inexplicable heavy snow Storm.

More than a foot of snow blanketed Jerusalem overnight, cutting power to 60000 homes across Israel on the third day of a regional storm

Jerusalem — A fierce winter storm shut down much of the Middle East Friday, burying Jerusalem in snow, flooding parts of Gaza and bringing frigid, wet weather to war-ravaged Syria.
The hilltop city of Jerusalem was paralysed by its fiercest snowstorm in years, with its mayor calling out the army to help stranded motorists and authorities urging residents to stay indoors.
