  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Creationist: "As you can see here, there are huge holes in the theory of Evolution, such as the simple problem with a Coelacanth, which is a fish which has remain unchanged for 350 million years. Lets not even jump into the differences of Microevolution and Macroevolution."

Christian: "I find the Bible to be the inspired word of God. I also find it to be historically accurate, including eyewitness accounts from outside of Biblical texts, as well as archeological evidence and intact artifacts such as the Dead Sea Scrolls to validate the translation of the Bible."

For the counter-balance, I recommend FSTDT. The difference is, those things are real.

My concern for level of pain of rape would be greater if it weren't for the fact that most American women deserve to raped because they oppose prostitution as a sexual outlet for men. Since they deserve to raped, I cannot concern myself with the pain rape causes them.

It'd be funny if it weren't so absolutely awful.

That is not true, there are more than two dozen known families, genra and species of
Coelacanth in the fossil record. Once thought to be an extinct fish of 65 Ma, that gap has been filled quite a while now with new fossils and species discovered. There is a complete line of from the Devonian to present showing remarkable examples of evolution.

Wendruff, A. J.; Wilson, M. V. H. (2012). "A fork-tailed coelacanth, Rebellatrix divaricerca, gen. et sp. nov. (Actinistia, Rebellatricidae, fam. nov.), from the Lower Triassic of Western Canada". Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology 32 (3): 499-511.

: "MUAHAHAHA You inferior animal! Time to evolve and learn science! Your invisible God can't stop the progression of mankind now!"
Quite frankly I take offense to that statement. (My opinion)

Christian
: "I find the Bible to be the inspired word of God. I also find it to be historically accurate, including eyewitness accounts from outside of Biblical texts, as well as archeological evidence and intact artifacts such as the Dead Sea Scrolls to validate the translation of the Bible."
I do not hold to that verbatim but I do not discount the possibility of the general assertion. (My opinion)

: "You WOULD believe a book of fairy tales from the Bronze Age is inspired by an invisible sky God! Time to move forward with society, you plebian!
I really take offense to that. That kind of talk is uncalled for. (My opinion)

Do you often invent cartoonish caricatures to debate with? If so, you might want to see someone about that.

CREATIONIST: Evolution violates the second law of thermodynamics in that dS = dQ/T and in a closed system the angle of the hypotenuse obviates the parenthetical inferential Occam's Razor by reliance on the Higgs Field.

EVOLUTIONIST: You are so smart, I'm sorry I doubted your dedication to science! I wish I was as smart as you are. Did you go to school at a fancy Ivy League College?

CREATIONIST: No. I don't need college. I learned by living life! I looked around and I saw the Truth. I read my bible, drank my milk and loved my mommy and daddy. God blessed me with truth and knowledge. He gave me Dr. Dino and Ken Hamm. That is all I need.

EVOLUTIONIST: Can I get this same knowledge? Can I be inspired and intelligent like you?

CREATIONIST: Do you believe in God?

EVOLUTIONIST: Well, you know that every single last person who believes in evolution hates God and wants to destroy him. So, yeah, I do. But I want to destroy him! How can I get knowledge like you have?

CREATIONIST: Well, remember God will send you to hell. He's all powerful and you cannot destroy him.

EVOLUTIONIST: But I teach children my evil evolutionism. If I destroy all faith then God will cry himself to death!

CREATIONIST: God's tears will fall on you and burn your skin off.

EVOLUTIONIST: You're right. I never thought of that. I should probably abandon this lie. I love God. I hate evolution. Can we set fire to this Richard Dawkins effigy?

CREATIONIST: Well, that's also kind of hateful, buuuuut, well, you know I can at least keep an eye out to make sure the fire doesn't set any innocent houses nearby on fire. Go ahead and burn away.

EVOLUTIONIST-NO-MORE: BUUUUUUURRRRRRNNNNNNN!

Nope tell me.

It means that he holds science up to the highest possible standard he can conceive of -- his ego -- and anything that fails to live up to that can take a hike.

Proverb, you know, this might be funny if (1) you made fun of both sides, (2) the "evolutionist" position was even remotely close to an actual position I can relate to. The "atheist" response is kind of chuckleworthy because I've seen its like, but "inferior animal"???

For the counter-balance, I recommend FSTDT. The difference is, those things are real.
I wonder how many of them are undetected Poes.

Studies in social sciences can make the scientist question established facts within natural science! This is something they don't tell you, but dogs can get a drivers licence, job and pay taxes!! Moreover wellfare money go to dead people, money that stimulates the market because of purchased merchendices! and it needs to be that way, simply because that is the way it is!! Beureocracy!

Nope tell me.

he thinks that his little slogans are clever and deep, when they are about as deep as a puddle on a hot day.
i think he suffers from dunning-kruger and cognitive dissonance.

i'm not sure how high a standard you can have for science, when you say "science can take a hike", that is about the lowest form of ignorance.
