Revelation 3:20-4:2
20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. 21To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
Revelation 4
The Throne in Heaven
1After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this." 2At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.
The first thing to notice is that Jesus is knocking at the door and we hold the key to opening the door to heaven in the beginning of the next chapter of Revelations. And then the Spirit comes to bring us to Jesus.
What happens when the door is opened? Jesus edifies and gives the opportunity to overcome and share His throne.
What is overcoming? It’s overcoming Satan, in the world in the area assigned to you, in your self to the point of contentment with His arrangement of your life as well as overcoming the lies satan tells to us daily. It’s an individual, personal dealing with the Lord and it’s also the Lord dealing with His body as a whole.
Notice the Lord says “Come up here” He doesn’t want us to dwell in the world, He wants us to live in the heavenlies, in His Spirit. From there He shows us the Way.
