I like coffee too! With or without food. My daughter asks when and if I will stop drinking coffee, and I say, "Why would I want to????"

I'll take some coffee in the morning with some fresh, homemade muffins made with real blueberries. Yeah. Just as soon as I find some blueberries.

Happy Wednesday, everybody:)

woah! so many questions! LOL!

Where and when was your favorite vacation?

Colorado Springs, CO Sept 2000. went to visit my sister Rose for a week just around my birthday. It was beautiful. Visited Garden of the Gods and went up Pike's Peek via the train.
AND I WAS SAVED!!! THE BEST vacation I have ever had!!

If you could have any job.....what would you like to do?

Help people put their memories into scrapbooks :)

What would you like to be when you grow up?

When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a computer scientist. But that was too boring. Now I just want to play, and be a super crafter!
Being a mom is wonderful too! :p

Do you have a dream wish list that you would like to fulfill (could be anything :doing something, seeing something, going somewhere etc)

I used to, but not anymore. I live my life for my family now. We live day by day, week by week, etc. We are planning a trip to Disney in 2010!
And a trip to Colorado Springs in 2009!

If you had the chance to do your life over again.....would you?

hmmmmm...that is a good question. There are parts of my life that i would make a different decision if i could, but then again....would i have the same life now if i chose differently then? that is the catch!
I love my DH and my boys....i wouldn't want to change anything that would jeopordize my life with them!!

Thanks for the questions Rosey!!

YAY! I found yours! Sorry so late, I hadn't checked back on this area in a while.

So, I know you are planning on getting some veggie plants. I answered your question on what I put in my garden on my thread, now let me know what you are planning in yours!

WHOOOOOOHOOOOO! I love gardening!

 hiya faithy-poo!

I haven't planned or tended a veggie garden in about 20 years! SO, it's like something new for me!! LOL!

My FIL bought several DOZEN tomato plants b4 we could even get the garden tilled!!!!! What a crazy thing! My DH & I busted our butts trying to get the area cleared of FIL's 40yrs of TRASH, that I almost lost it when FIL came home with all those tomato plants! Let's see...there are 6 plants of each of the following: early girls, big boys, beefsteak, and romas. YIKES! we will have to can or freeze tomatoes all autumn long! LOL!
Besides the tomatoes, we planted cucumbers, acorn squash, mescilin mix, sweet and hot peppers, rhubarb & musk melon. I also snuck in some parsley and basil. FIL also planted some seeds of carrot, radish & lettuce.
I threw some arrugala in there as well.
I would love to grow asparagus and garlic someday, too. But not this year. Perhaps next year I will plant some strawberries & raspberries...but i will make a special space for them.
We put a small fence around the veggie garden, because of the boys. They sometimes push their boundaries! LOL!
Then around the fence I planted some dark purple salvia & coleus for color.

Oh Mare, it sounds lovely, we'll have to swap garden pix at harvest time.

THAT MANY TOMATO PLANTS!?!?!?!? Goodness, I think he is planning his part for bringing a produce item to the villiage for Stone Soup. You could do a second boarder around the inside of the garden with just tomato plants at that rate.

Maybe the boys can build a little streetside stand over the summer, and they can sell tomatos by the bucket come fall, like kids do with lemonaide. KWIM?

I usually freeze my extra tomatos. If you have a deep freeze, that is easier, but I think that amount of tomatoes would just fill it up completely.

Oh Mare, I feel for you. This is the first year that hubby is letting me do my garden the way I think it should be without arguing about what his dad (my FIL) and his sickSIL say about it. I'll pray that your garden becomes your place of solitude for you too.

I am so clueless!

I didn't figure out that this is in the Face the Board threads until today!

I thought it was a coffee fellowship klatch:D

Marezee, how did you meet your husband the first time? (I remember it was way before you married him.)

What kind of foods do you enjoy cooking and baking?

What do you do for fun?

Do you get any quiet time to yourself during the week?

Does it snow in the winter where you live?

How many times have you seen the movie, "Cars"?

love,
4Ever

yup..THAT MANY TOMATOS! I told him that was way too many, but he said "oh no. we'll eat them." Yeah right!
that is a great idea about the roadside stand. I will have to bring that up to DH and maybe he and the boys can build a stand this summer.

Marezee, how did you meet your husband the first time? (I remember it was way before you married him.)

I met my husband on a trip to Mass. Some friends were going to a Nancy Griffith concert, and my best friend was supposed to go but got sick. So I went in her stead. There were 4 of us, me, two girlfriends, and Hank (my DH). I didn't know him, just met him when the girls picked me up. he had long hair and was wearing a Charles Manson T-shirt! :o I didn't know what to think! Anyway, I was seeing someone at the time, so i really wasn't interested in him in that way.
However, on the way back home we were in the back seat talking about nothing, and the full moon was out. Hank told me later (about 6 years later!) that there was a moment when the moonlight struck my face just so, and reflected in my eyes.....well.....that's when he fell in love! :swoon:

What kind of foods do you enjoy cooking and baking?

I enjoy cooking more than baking! I make a mean meatloaf, baked chicken, pasta, and stuffed peppers. As far as baking goes....give me some pilsbury cookies and i'll pop them in the oven! LOL!

What do you do for fun?

hmmm...I love to dance and sing with my boys; i love to read; scrapbook; go to movies; organize (yeah...it's fun to me!).

Do you get any quiet time to yourself during the week?

Sometimes. It's usually when the boys are asleep, and my DH has to work the next day and he goes to bed early. Then I have about 1 1/2 hours all to myself. I usually veg!

Does it snow in the winter where you live?

OH YEAH! Some winters are worse than others. I really hate it when there's an ice storm!

How many times have you seen the movie, "Cars"?

ummmm....let's see, there was the first time in the theater, and then there was about a half dozen times a day for the next month, then when Jake was born, it was like new all over again, so we watched it every morning for about another month...i'd say a MILLION TIMES!! LOL!

Thanks for the questions 4Ever!

Mare, I came back to ask you what you asked me! LOL! (my monologue is posted on mine about hubby and I), and I caught your reply to 4ever.

I have to say, enjoy the "Cars" phase while you can. My son lived for it in kindergardent, but it was distincly "uncool" by mid-1st grade. So sad. Now he begs to go to violent super-hero PG13 movies because other boys his age do. (and sadly, most of the parents do actually let thier young sons watch them.)

Now my questions 4 U!

After you met (Oh, that is such a good 1st met story!), tell me all about your favorite date memory, where you were married, and how many years married now....

Also, what one quality about your DH has never ceased to be attractive to you (or more than one if you like)?

After my DH and I met, we didn't see each other (on a formal or dating basis) for 6 years!
We were aquaintances and had mutual friends, but rarely saw one another. I was dating someone else at the time. And my DH swooned over me that day we met, but i never knew it until much later.
Every time one of our mutual friends mentioned my name, my DH would have a "moment of silence." He would actually bow his head and be silent. :D I thought that was rather funny! and so did his friends!

anyway, 6 years pass, my DH comes back from a year in Key West FL, and I am single. A mutual friend tells him that I am single, and sets up a dinner for us to "meet." Even though we had met once b4, we didn't "know" each other.
So our mutual friend, (i will call her joan), her boyfriend, myself and my DH all got together for dinner at joan's place. We had a blast! I never laughed so much in my life--really!
It was getting to the end of the evening, and my DH still hadn't given me his phone number, or asked for mine. So, I thought....well it was a nice dinner, too bad he didn't like me.
Just as he was about to leave, he asked me for my phone number and told me he'd call. I gave it to him and thought to myself....yeah right!
But one week later he called and asked me out to dinner.
this is a long story...sorry!
He showed up on time with flowers & a piece of coral from Key West!
We starting driving to the restaurant, up the main highway, listening to country music & chatting. He missed our exit! LOL! and we still talk about that!
We finally get to the restaurant, but he hadn't made reservations, and it was crowded....there was a bartender's convention in town!
So, we decided to go somewhere less noisy.
We had a great dinner at The Weathervane, and had such a good time, we decided to go to a movie...we saw "Castaway" with Tom Hanks (one of my favorite actors!).
Just so you know, DH was a complete gentleman this whole time, holding my arm and opening doors for me. What a man!
When we got back to my place, he walked me to my door, and actually asked me if he could kiss me! :swoon: of course i said yes!
it was so romantic! And i just had to call my friend Joan to tell her how everything went! LOL!
To make this story even sweeter, DH drove 45 minutes to pick me up on this date, drove us 40 minutes to dinner & a movie, then drove back to my place, and had to drive 45 minutes back home at 1am to work the next day at 6am!!!!!! what a guy!
i will finish your questions faith in the next post!

We were married 6 months after our first date. We just knew this was it!
We got married at The Temple Baptist Church by our pastor, after his pre-marriage counseling of us!
We will be married 7 years on September 8th.
The qualities that never cease to attract me are my DH's sense of humor, his loving stare, & the way he remembers little things about me even years later!
Thanks for the questions!

for our anniversary one year, he got a baby sitter, and we went to dinner and a movie...literally....it's a theater where you sit at a table and have dinner while watching a movie. We saw "Mr.Deeds." we had my favorite for dessert--cheesecake!
He proposed again to me and told me he would marry me over and over again! it melted my heart.

three kids and 7 years later, the most romantic thing has been little things like love notes on the kitchen board, unexpected flowers or chocolate, listening to me even when he's exhausted, etc.
However, those little things are what keeps the life in your marriage.
