Hello everyone! How's everyone today? I'm good today! Nothing negative to say...very surprising !

jon1...I agree with you, sunshine does help!! I hate the winter. I feel worst in the winter! To cold and dreary! I need warmth and sunshine! I can't wait for the summer weather to come. It just seems very comforting to me! I love the beach. It's a very peaceful place for me to go. It connects me with God. Looking and listening to all the beautiful sights and sounds He created for us to enjoy! Awesome!! I need to make an effort to do it more often though.

notcfmodobviously...I don't think I understand what you mean by the "it's all for a good reason" part. What could the good reason be for people suffering depression?

Good day everyone! Where is everybody??? Kinda quiet around here. I'm doing fine today. I am constaintly trying to figure my self out though...not doing a very good job of it ! I wish someone could figure me out and let know what the problem is!!

I'm getting bored! Nothing interesting or exciting happening to me! I lead a very dull life. Entertain me !

i bought a bunny yesterday

Hey everyone. I haven't popped in here before but here I am, just saying hello.

How is everyone with their moods and such?

The man said it's dwarf, but being only 5 weeks old, who knows how big it is gonna get haha.


His name is Nash Beep Beep Love (there was a song on he seemed to like haha, I always name pets because of songs). I'm calling him Beep Beep because he likes to run around really fast.

He's the perfect distraction I needed. Gives me something to take care of and love on. Funny how that makes someone feel happier.

Love the rabbit and the name is great to.
I agree that when we give out love we allways feel better. Just a shame we don't allways recieve as much as we give. Now that would be good.

Awww BigToe, Beep Beep (*giggle* I love the name!) is adorable!! Bunnies are fun... but they can be a lot of work, especially when they aren't particularly cuddly. We've had four rabbits, two were kept indoors (caged) and were litter trained so they could run around on the tiled part of the house for part of the day. Then the other two were outdoor rabbits. They were brothers, and ended up fighting, so we had to let one loose. He stuck around for awhile, and I don't really know what happened to him (maybe I don't want to.....). We live in the middle of nowhere so it was an okay thing to do, but still... poor Seamus.

Whew. And now I am getting a hamster to add to the menagerie that we have. I'm excited - I had a hamster that I was keeping for my sister, so it's not really a new thing, but the whole time I took care of Sammy I knew that he wasn't a permanent pet. But this hamster - which we are hopefully getting on Saturday after my psych appointment - is going to stay. Assuming it doesn't escape.

Today is going to be interesting. I've got a nutritionist appointment and I hope that I haven't lost any lean muscle from not eating enough.....

Mask, we're going through whatever we're going through for a good reason. It's character building, it makes us strong - we learn to lean on God - there are so many good things that you can pull out of having a mental illness. Yes, it sucks, and most people would think I'm/we're crazy for saying something like that. But it's true. Good things can come from bad. I know that for a fact.

How are you all doing this morning?

I love Beep Beep!! Very cute! We used to have a mini lop eared rabbit named Chee Chee. You are right Soulwings...they are a lot of work. Our's stayed in the house in a cage but he was let out every day to roam around (usually leaving his trail behind him ). He always kicked his shaving everywhere (I didn't learn about the litter training until it was to late) The kids loved him (so did I actually)! We were all very sad when he died. I haven't wanted to get another one since.


How did you nutritionist app. go Soulwings? I could use that problem for a little while.....not eating enough . I need to lose weight! I've lost 25 pounds more than once in my life but in a year or two, I just gain it back. Unlike some people, I eat when I'm depressed....usually junk food. I don't exercise at all .

Everyone's life seems more interesting to the other person...you know " the grass always looks greener on the other side" sort of thing!

Not much interesting going on here today. I might go looking for new living room curtains.

I'm having trouble learning to let go of my children! I find it very scary not to be in control. I feel like if I let them go and something goes wrong (not even necessarily something big) I will be the blame. I always feel overly responsible for everyone and everything in my life. Probably comes from having to baby sit my foster mom all the time growing up (she had really bad nerves and didn't go out). I almost get into panic attacks whenever I don't know what's going to happen. I hate being controlling!! I am slowly giving some of it up but it's really hard!

That's an irresistably cute bunny, BigToe. Makes me want a pet again even more. I had a bunny once but she was very, very skiddish. But I think most are that way.

Most of all I want a kitten again. Kittens make me melt inside.

As for me I just recieved a letter in the mail today telling me that I made the honor role again so that totally made my day, other then that ive been doing really well, had a tough time awhile back but God quickly reminded me that he was still there for me as always , truly amazing how some things work out in our lives with faith, that other ppl may shrug off as coincidence.

Mask, I know what you mean about being controlling! I don't have kids, but I am a control freak nonetheless. I don't try to control other people, but when I feel like other people are controlling my life and I can't do anything about it, I end up doing the whole eating disordered freakout thing and go back to restricting. It's a vicious cycle, and very frustrating.

My nutritionist appointment went okay. I retained half a litre of fluid, which wouldn't surprise me too much if it were that "time of month" (TOM) ..... but it's not. And I've only retained fluid once before, in November. It scares me. And Bruce (nutritionist) told me that the only way to get rid of it is to drink. I usually drink 2 - 3 cups of fluids a day (minus anything with caffeine - that's usually neutral), and I've been going more with two or two and a half cups lately. Yesterday was one and a half. It's so hard for me to trust him. I've been under his guidance for 9 months now, and still it's so hard to believe what he says. (Yep, I know I've got trust issues.... that's been figured out long before this.)

So I don't know. Things are frustrating. And I'm tired, having gotten a little over 6 hours of sleep, along with some very vivid dreams (how I hate those!!).

Today is going to be madly busy. I'm starting an ED support group, and today is the day that we've got to hang all the flyers for it. It's going to be hard to get all 15 buildings...... lots and lots of flyers to print!! But I've got three other people helping me, so it shouldn't be terrible. However, I've also got to meet with the Women's Center coordinator, type up rules and guidelines, and make sure that everything is ready for Monday's meeting. I'm excited, but I'm also scared that this is just going to push me back down into being angry with myself for not looking like I had an ED, when things got bad in fall 2005. I just looked thinner. Looked better. More acceptable. Now I just look....... huge. Ugh.

So we'll see how that goes. Plus, I've got schoolwork to do - an exam to study for, a term paper to write, another part of a paper to write (which will be the longest and most complicated), a quiz to start studying for ..... this weekend is going to be hell. I've a psych appointment (and I'm getting my hamster! ), but other than that, it's going to be work work work. Even on Easter, which is pretty bad. I'm not even looking forward to going to church. I'd rather stay home and get stuff done.

Hi everyone! Did anyone attend a Good Friday service? We attended a multi-denomination service...it was very nice! A great sense of community. We will be having our Resurrection Sunday service tomorrow morning. Do you guys get together with family/friends to celebrate this weekend? We don't have much family around us so we probably won't . I miss my Mom & Dad (foster), they are both gone to be with the Lord now, luck for them !

How are you doing Soulwings? I'm not sure if I'm getting what you are saying about the nutritionist...I assume you are afraid of gaining weight, ist that right? You aren't the only one who is dissatisfied with their apperance! I don't imagine that you look "huge" as you said. Don't let stress play with you mind and cause you to sabatage (spelling?) all the hard work you put into your health!! I sure other people will be grateful to have you to talk to about their problems with eating.

I'm hoping you've gotten some sleep! Things usually look a bit better whenever we are more rested.

Did you end up going to church on Good Friday, or were you just talking about Easter Sunday?

Bravo for you everlast, on making honors!!!! You must have worked really hard to accomplish that!
