Hosea 6:1 (NASB)
“Come, let us return to the LORD. For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us.

Oh, the joy there is in the; Come, let us return to the Lord... Though He has chastened us, He will bless us... To know and see this truth...

The heart that knows this by experience, is the heart that is being taught by God...The heart that accepts this chastising, proves it has tasted of the Lord that He is good.. It is this heart that will be established in Christ...

Though the tearing and the wounding might not yet be complete, the heart knows where and how to get relief.... It is the knowing of the where and how to get relief, that brings the joy to the heart.. Even in the returning, the heart is secure in the hope and the promise of the healing... For it has tasted of the goodness of God and knows He to be real and good... So the heart rejoices in the promise of the goodness of God pointed towards it....

“Come, let us return to the Lord”

Such hope, such faith, such promise there is in these words..

The heart that perseveres here, this is he that wrestles with the Lord, this is the heart that will not let God go... This heart will be broken and made pliable before God... For this is what the tearing and the wounding are for; to get rid of the self-will....

With the promise of the bandaging, healing, growth and the doing of the will of God, which is the manifestation of righteousness in all things...

Oh the goodness of God, that He would tear, wound and then bandage, all to mature one in Christ...

Oh let Him have His perfect work, with a joyful;

“Come, let us return to the Lord”

A lot of people this year seem to be suffering in so many different, and the same, ways....

Yes, thanks for the reminder today.
So many are not going to Him (for help, to learn from Him, to listen to Him, to be taught by Him) , sometimes it seems people would rather continue suffering needlessly, "without knowledge" (without truth),
instead of being set free and rejoicing in the truth. (especially poignant this year as people are overcome with emotions and mis-direction medically and politically and socially)
