Colossians 2:12 When you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and you were raised up with him through your faith in God's power that was shown when he raised Christ from the dead. 13 When you were spiritually dead because of your sins and because you were not free from the power of your sinful self, God made you alive with Christ, and he forgave all our sins.
Is Baptism necessary?
Please explain "HE forgave all our sins" Past present and future? Do we have to ask HIM for forgiveness?

Col 2:11-15 (The Message Bible) Entering into this fullness is not something you figure out or achieve. It's not a matter of being circumcised or keeping a long list of laws. No, you're already in—insiders—not through some secretive initiation rite but rather through what Christ has already gone through for you, destroying the power of sin. If it's an initiation ritual you're after, you've already been through it by submitting to baptism. Going under the water was a burial of your old life; coming up out of it was a resurrection, God raising you from the dead as he did Christ. When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ's cross. He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the Cross and marched them naked through the streets.

Please explain "HE forgave all our sins" Past present and future? Do we have to ask HIM for forgiveness?

This is a good question. This scripture seems to indicate that all men and women are in Christ right now, right when they are born - even Yeshua said that when he would be "lifted up" - on the cross, he would "draw all men" to Himself. So, perhaps by grace, all men are in Christ before they even know about Him - and only come unattached from the vine when they hear the gospel and deny Him.

I guess one could rather thank Jesus for forgiving them even before they were born.

How do you do this?
Do you focus on JESUS?
Do you choose christian music over secular music?
Do you choose Christian TV over secular TV?
Do you choose The Bible over other books?
Do you put JESUS first in your life?

as a memeber of the Bride of CHRIST (the church HE established) i always remember to put JESUS first and HIS bride, the church, a close second!

13 Get along with each other, and forgive each other. If someone does wrong to you, forgive that person because the Lord forgave you.

Several questions: Who did GOD choose? Anyone who reads this? Everyone? Just those who were in the Colossian church?

Since HE loves me shouldn't i show mercy to others, be kind, humble, gentle and patient? What if i'm not humble? Do i try to be humble? How?

God is no respecter of persons, neither should we be. He will reward and punish, it's His job, not ours.

Pray that we can preach the secret that God has made known about Christ. This is why I am in prison. 4 Pray that I can speak in a way that will make it clear, as I should.

Great verses and important reminder about praying for our pastors. This month, our church has a month long prayer vigil going on for vision and leadership, and I have so enjoyed it. It has brought me closer and closer to God, and I know that when a pastor steps up for God, satan steps up right behind him. May we all pray prayers of intercession for those in leadship in the churches, keeping ourselves alive and alert, for satan creeps in when are minds are inactive and prayer is a great way to close those doors to the adversary.

God bless those who give their lives to God's calling, pastoring His sheep.
