Color or Colour?

Noticing the "Grey or Gray" debate, I was wondering why the spellings of other words is not debated here. So, I decided to pose this query. Is it spelled "colour", or "color"?

If you're a Canuck you SHOULD* be spelling it with a 'u'. But it seems though that not everyone knows about that rule. oh well. *Shrugs*

I know the rule. I, in fact, choose to spell the word "colour". But, just wanted to see what everyone else does.

If you spell colour without the u, you shouldnt be doing to well in English

just kidding. THe authentic Canadian way of spelling this is colour.

So does this make us unique? I believe they do the same thing in the UK....I wonder about the other commonwealth countries.

Seeing that I've been living here in the States for the past four years, I've pretty much gotten used to spelling it color. When you're in America, do as the Americans do!

I usually spell it color, but I write theatre instead of theater and I go back and forth with grey and gray... can't seem to make up my mind I guess

In Australia it is spelt Colour.

I spell it colour in my writings but use color in web page tags. When I use a spell checker it will flag at least one of these spellings if both words appear on a web page. Seems I have a miniscule dilemma. LOL...

Hm. Depends. Sometimes I put down color, other times I add the u (doesn't the wording here tell you what default I use? ). I'm kind of ambidexterous in that sense.
