  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
ahhh ~ let me see if i can answer all the questions i was asked w/o referring back to them.

im applying to - brown in providence, bucknell in penn, swarthmore in penn, olin college of engineering in boston, and possibly princeton

sorry dad.... i mean paulewog... it wont happen again.... and i will try not to bite my nails anymore :(

i dont know anyone named sole, sorry.  ucf is a very nice school though.  i live about five, ten minutes down the road, am finishing up my last year in hs.  compared to uf, ucf is much nicer - cleaner, prettier, plus not only is the campus beautiful, its easy to get around.... its a circle...... how lost can you get?  the area is continually growing too... im sure once you start attending here we will have many friends in common as most of the kids from the hs around here end up staying home and commuting

me.. i feel like its time to get out.  leaving fla will really be closing a chapter in my life.  my dads in the army and ive lived everywhere... nowhere more than 24 months..... that stinks, its true, but its just instilled in me a need to be constantly on the move.... its why im thinking of missionary or peace corps work... im a traveller, im going to see things, do things - for God :)

yeah im tired..... its 144 am.. talk to you guys soon

yeah a 25 is great on the ACT... SATS - you have to have your verbal and math down, the ACT is much more wide ranging... sounds like i know what im talking about, i dont though cause i havent taken the ACT yet - i just know i hate the SAT. youll probbaly hate me though.... im shooting for a 1400 at least. i need it to get in my schools. blah. im hoping that i also will do better on the ACT though.

you dont have a southern accent? hah i say ya'll from when i lived in alabama..... and "ca" instead of car, "ruff" instead of "roof" and "draw" instead of drawer from when i lived up north.... and sometimes ill slip up and say something in korean from when i lived in korea...... ahhh the joys of being a military child

*sigh*

lol! my dad was in the air force for a while but when he finished his term in active duty decided to go into the airline industry. so now he flies planes. or should i say still flies planes since he flew planes in the airforce...

nah, i won't hate you. i have a friend trying to get a 1300. and my brother is one of those types of people who remember things real easily and that sort of thing and got a 1500 after staying up till like 1:30am the night before the SAT. the SAT i got an above average verbal score and right on average math score. i'm not an excellent math student. math's just not my thing.

I didn't have to take the ACT to get into my school.

I did have to take the SATs though...before they had the whole SAT II thing. I took them twice...once the end of my jr. year and once the beginning of my sr. year. Did better overall the first time. :)

char...a girl down the street from me, who's a year older then I am, went to Bucknell and loved it. :)

ahh im excited about possibly going to bucknell. i think its the easiest school to get into of all the ones im applying to, but im really excited. whoa i just said that. olin is really exciting too... its brand new, first class to graduate will be class of 06, but they only accept around 80 students and each student is giving a full 140 000 scholarship..... its not accredited YET so hopefully that'll scare quite a few kids away.... i need all the help i can get.

a 31 on your ACT.... thats great... i hope i can do that well when i take it... where are you now?
