college money

i talked with the financial aid office at my college earlier today and found out that as of right now i dont have work study. (work study is where you work on campus to help pay for college). well, if i would have gotten it, i would have been good to go for another year, but i didnt. she said i might check back after school starts and see if anything changes. if i dont get it, im probably going to have to get a job somewhere off campus - which isnt good because of driving and the hours. work study is great because it pays pretty well, and its right on campus (for winter days), and you can even schedule like hours between classes. as of right now im gonna hafta come up with around $2,300 a semester, and work study can take up $2,000 of that. its a whole lot easier coming up with $300 a semester instead of $2300!

just remember my situation in your prayers, that God will provide how He sees is best.

That's a hard situation to be in. If you do have to get a job off of campus. Remember that school is your priority and not the job. It's easy to lose sight of that.

I always thought it was lame that they make you pay for school! Man, I pray that you will find a way to pay for this without adding extra burdens to your life.

I know what you are going through. I did my undergraduate degree as a co-op student. This means I alternated between approved jobs - for academic credit - and courses. These mandatory jobs helped pay for school. Those who couldn't land the jobs couldn't graduate under the program. Lots of students find it pretty humiliating.
