College Ministry

A good friend of mine (who is also Christian and has been helping me thru this whole experience) and I are thinking about starting a Christian prayer or bible study group at the college we attend (its a small 2 year college with no religious groups as yet). We would like to affiliate with a larger group so we would have a larger pool of resources to use and to help with any problems we might possibly encounter. Does anyone know of a good Christian  ministry or group that would help and work with us?

I go to a 4 year college and we have something here called Campus Outreach. My sister goes and I'm pretty sure she said there was one in quite a few colleges in the US. I don't know if that helps you...anyway-good luck!

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (www.ivcf.org) and Campus Crusade for Christ (www.ccci.org).  I was involved in both of these organizations when I was in college and they are both WONDERFUL.  Maybe you could look into those?  If you have questions about them, feel free to PM me!

start a bible study!!

Get some people to tag along side you, put up flyers, and see where it goes. Depending on how many people attend the school, and how many christians go there. One time a buddy and I did a "prayer table" . We just sat behind one of those long tables in the food court with a sign on it that said "free prayer" some people walked up and talked with us, prayed with us. Others needed some prodding. It was awesome. If you do that, other christians may talk with you about doing ministry there, and you can also help non-believers!
