  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

There are a lot of kids who wander off to college and make poor decisions related to alcohol use because they really have no experience with it. It's stupid, and irritating if you're sober (and even more so if your job is to make sure they don't die or anything), but they'll learn. Eventually.

On the upside, I got my hands on some really fresh bombers of one of my favourite beers. The hops are so much more present than they are once they;ve been sitting for a couple of months. Glorious.

MY campus is pretty dry. But UW is pretty close by and I believe that's where most everyone goes to party
ditto that Nienor. but I don't know how many kids actually go over to UW. I think that they'd get in pretty serious trouble if anyone found out about it...considering the agreement we signed...

of course...I can only speak for myself...

Yeah, the Lifestyle Expectations but a pretty big restriction on most party-type activities :p

My campus is "dry" but not really. My roomate keeps some of her alcohol in the fridge in our room...and there is some in the freezer in the kitchen. Thank goodness I'm not the only person in my appt. that doesn't drink, otherwise I would go crazy!!! But there really isn't much to do in York that doesn't involve drinking. When you think about it, it's cheaper to go to a kegger ($3) than go bowling...or to a movie. I, however, would rather stay in and play oogles of Halo on xbox with my other sober buddies. haha.

Thats how it is on my campus. It is dry, but there really isn't all that much to do besides go to a party, go to a bar or go to a club. When I lived on campus, my roommate and some of my suitemates had alcohol in the dorm... my roommate actually forgot he had alcohol there until our last day there.

I go to a Christian school that has a no alcohol use policy, but it's not enforced strictly. People come back wasted all days of the week. And the RAs don't write them up because they drink too. Some of the RAs even lead the way to the parties...
