  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I just started college, I was late for registration so Im only goin part time. Anyone here that doesnt suffer with ADHD(or maybe does?) that could give me some helpful tips?...Like staying on top of my tasks, homework and what not?, Because once I get home I just end up zonin out and day dreaming. I really need to fix this.

To tell you the truth my ADHD really isnt that bad(I take max dosage of vyvanse every day to help so I dont feel so overwhelmed and helpless...but its not really helping that well to tell the truth), but managing and controlling my tasks...and reading the pages im supposed to. I really need to start staying on top of these things, rather than googling for this I thought I should come here.

Could someone please give me some helpful tips and what not? Thanks guys:thumbsup:

I don't have ADHD, but when I was in college, it helped me to make lists of things to do and to make lots of smaller tasks. Instead of trying to read entire chapters at once, for example, I might have made a goal to read a certain number of pages and then have a break for a certain amount of time (and I used a timer with an alarm for breaks because I would make the breaks last too long otherwise!). The breaks were like a reward system for me.

You could also say that you're going to start working on things at certain times of the day -- that way you know you have to get started at a certain time and there's a limit on how much you can procrastinate.

I'm not technically in college though I am taking a class atm. Just a suggestion as an ADHD person myself, Starbucks. Find a corner, get your caffiene. hyperfocus. Study groups are only for other people who know how to shut up or for you/a friend in the class when one/both/more do not understand the material. Also, highlite key points when reading. This will help you stay in the task.
