Collect anything?

Hi, are you a collector of anything, like little objects or affectionate things for instance?

When I grew up I collected fine napkins, and the silky napkins of thin rice paper were the most attractive ones in my collection.

My daughter and I keep little beautiful pebbles from different places, and I also collect good memories from my trips to many countries.

So ... what are you collecting?

I collect pigs...no, not live ones (they won't let me have them in town )

I have stuffed animal pigs, porcelain pigs, wood pigs...ok, I love pigs!!

My first 8 years of life was spent on a farm, my favorite baby animal were baby pigs. They are so pink and cute....aaaaawwwww.

My other collection is Ty Beanie Baby Bears. I normally just look for the bears but I have other Ty Beanie babies.

Oh...and book and Bibles. I love books and love different versions of the Bible.

Actually, I'm not very good at collecting things ... I've started a few collections and then got bored with them and thrown or given them away. I do have a small collection of teapots, most of which are going in the next garage sale ... I'll keep the Jewel-tee and the japanese teapots ... oh and the white china teapot that makes a cool vase for flowers. I used to have a beanie baby collection that I gave away to one of my nieces. Oh, and I have a few favorite books that I will keep forever and ever ... unless I can replace them with better copies.

Oh ... then there are my computer books. Most of them are out of date and I can't even PAY someone to take them off my hands ... I guess you could call them a "collection"

I collect plates (decorative ones) coffee cups, and cold coins. I also have some ceramic birds and cats.

I collect coins from other countries. I was collecting the quarters from different states but I had a financial crisis and had to use them for something important.

I have a collection of polished rocks that my grandfather collected and polished himself. One of my cousins took out all of the petoski stones (We are Michiganders and that is the state stone), so I have purchased this one stone. Now I want to start collecting stones from different states.

I also collect unusualy scrapbooking supplies. I hate to use them sometimes because I notice them more in my stash than I would in a book. (sick I know!)

I started collecting dated Christmas ornaments since we were given some as wedding gifts back in 1979. I have at least one ornament from every year since.

Oh I forgot about that! I do the very same thing.

Actually a new Christmas ornament has been a tradition between my mother and I since I was a teen ager. I buy her a new one still, though she stopped buying me one. I buy myself one now ever year. But they don't have years written on them. I just buy an ornament that seems to reflect something about my year. This year I bought a cross ornament because it has been a difficult year for me.

My sistah! I collect pigs too!! We must share. I will try to find a pig and send it to you next year. I even had two potbellied pigs. Mr. Pibb got pignapped one day and I found out he got killed by a pack of dogs. Petunia (beautiful white pig) needed more space so I gave her to a wonderful family.
