Also, I would say that a universalist who openly and knowingly affirms universal salvation after having been clearly taught the truth in scripture, and yet continues to hold to a "second chance" doctrine (as some do), and/or punishment in the afterlife for a duration of time and then salvation occurs, is not a Christian. It is these issues that are so serious as to deny justification by faith. But, let me say it one more time, I believe that there can be ignorant people who erringly hold to universalism, who have not thought universalism's position through properly, and have not been properly exposed to the true teachings of the Bible, who can be saved. I believe it is "possible" for them to be saved in spite of their inconsistency. That is my position (emph. added)

Do you not agree with your own link? Because you seem to feel holding this position (even in ignorance) disqualifies you from being a Christian and he (albeit with a certain palpable disdain) admits it's possible to be a Christian and a universalist. .

Could be possible in ignorance. I also would call them to repentance as I said in the OP. :

If you are a professed Christian who believes there is more than one path, I plead with you to study the Bible for yourself and repent from this heresy.

It doesn't matter what I feel or what you feel, it only matters what is true and God has the monopoly on that. God says you must be born again. This regeneration comes through repentance and faith in His Son Jesus Christ, Who, having been born from a virgin and having lived a perfect life, atoned for the sins of the world once and for all, and Whose body was physically resurrected 3 days later. All who realize they are a lost sinner in desperate need of a Savior, who believe in Him, His finished work on the cross, confess Him Lord, deny themselves, and follow after Him will be saved. This is what it means to believe.

hmmm I ask if your understanding is the only correct one and you say only God understands?
You do know that's pretty much the standard dodge people give for when they really think they are right but want to appear pious and humble?
Lets try this again: given that God is the only one who understands all things with a perfect understanding, do you feel you are sure enough of your understanding of God and all His plans for everything to (without fail) be able to point out exactly who's got it right and who has it wrong?
