  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have been looking at the Codex Sinaiticus. mainly for reference to Acts.

Can anybody give some inight on this manuscript?

And while we're at it, any info on the p74 (papyrus 74) would be helpful also.

Thanks.

God Bless

Till all are one.

KJVO advocates have accused Sinaiticus of having a large number of homoeoteleuta (about 300, they claim). A search of the Journal of Biblical Literature from 1973 to 2008 yielded no verification for this accusation. Moreover, I am not certain 300 really is a large number of such errors for an entire Greek New Testament in four columns. Likely as not, the claim is completely false, parroted by KJVO advocates to suit their agenda. However, it would be interesting to discover for certain just how many suspected homoeoteleuta are present in Sinaiticus.

I found a place to print images of scanned pages of the Codex Sinaiticus and am I wrong in assuming that the text is written in all capital letters?
