Codex Sinaiticus

I don't know anything about ancient texts or read Greek, but this sounds very exciting and I'm sure people will be making word studies and comparisons soon.

According to this article, the Codex Sinaiticus is "a 4th century text handwritten in Greek" and is the "oldest known surviving copy of the New Testament", and part of it is now online for the viewing.

Unfortunately my Greek isn't up to trying to get through a text without spaces between words.

I already have some facsimiles of Siniaticus. It would be nice to be able to see more of it. Some of the users at the Bibleworks forum have made a module which has hi-res images of it taken by Dan Wallace.

It may be a while for most people to get thru the site because of the amount of people wanting to see the manuscripts. The site isn't complete yet so maybe they will be able to handle larger volumes of traffic as the site progresses.

Yes...I was unable to view the manuscripts today due to the traffic.

It is good that many people want to see the manuscripts! I am willing to wait....
