From the "Seen as a Badge of Honor", files: CNN And MSNBC Analysts Sign Petition Urging William Barr To Resign

Eight legal analysts who work for CNN and MSNBC or appear frequently on the networks signed a petition Sunday calling on Attorney General William Barr to resign over his handling of Roger Stone’s case.

CNN analysts and former federal prosecutors Elie Honig and Renato Mariotti signed the petition ... MSNBC analysts Paul Butler, Frank Figliuzzi, Matthew Miller and Jill Wine-Banks also signed the document, which was compiled by Protect Democracy, a nonprofit group staunchly opposed to President Donald Trump
.
Just so long as we all know they're not claiming impartiality ...

Ok? ... happens all the time. Both sides do it now and again. I will say some facts are being left out.. but.. again nothings going to happen. I like Bill Barr. I have never seen him lean any way.

Bill Barr has served the President of the United States of America quite well. Why would Trump allow his personal attorney to be forced out??? That's absurd.

What has this got to do with impartiality? American citizens pointing out that Barr’s job is not ‘doing favours for friends of Trump’. Please address the actual issue and explain why you think it shows impartiality.

Not for nothing because I know it will be refuted ad hoc, many of those media types are affiliated with the Center for American Progress. Sen. Tom Daschle is chair, John Podesta, and Hansjörg Wyss are on the board of directors.

Hansjörg Wyss is directly connected to Soros, (media matters) the DNC, Clinton foundation... blah, blah blah.... no one cares, I know.... John Podesta, nothing to see. Tom Daschle, a leading lobbyist of DLA Piper; an international lobbying firm represented in 30 countries. The Dachel Group Washington DC. Baker Donelson, Executive Vice President for Political Strategy at Clear Channel Media.... Could go on, but why?

Nothing to see here. All fake hyperbole, and conspiracy.

Shocking tho, that the 'fact checkers' themselves want to oust the one who wants to expose what they have decided is false.

Media Matters for America is a web-based, not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) progressive research and information center dedicated to comprehensively monitoring, analyzing, and correcting conservative misinformation in the U.S. media.
Launched in May 2004, Media Matters for America put in place, for the first time, the means to systematically monitor a cross section of print, broadcast, cable, radio, and Internet media outlets for conservative misinformation - news or commentary that is not accurate, reliable, or credible and that forwards the conservative agenda - every day, in real time.

Using the website mediamatters.org as the principal vehicle for disseminating research and information, Media Matters posts rapid-response items as well as longer research and analytic reports documenting conservative misinformation throughout the media. Additionally, Media Matters works daily to notify activists, journalists, pundits, and the general public about instances of misinformation, providing them with the resources to rebut false claims and to take direct action against offending media institutions.

Yeah, but that's not really our fault, is it? You provided 0 evidence to back the claims. Why would you complain about us dismissing out of hand stuff that looks like you made up in your head, this morning?

many of those media types are affiliated with the Center for American Progress. Sen. Tom Daschle is chair, John Podesta, and Hansjörg Wyss are on the board of directors.

None of those 3 were mentioned in the OP. In further irrelevant-to-the-OP news, Steve Daetz is also on the board.

More importantly, irrelevant to the thread.

This is realy pretty easy. You have a ton of info here.

Hansjörg Wyss

Tom Daschle, a leading lobbyist of DLA Piper;

The Dachel Group Washington DC. Baker Donelson

It's a simple highlight and right click on the OP as posted to search for references.

The media are involved in this as much as the Dems are. All the same circles interacting in/with differnt circles. These 1,100 people have vested interests in getting Barr to go away.

None of them.

So what are we supposed to take away from all this? Trump haters will do anything to challenge the President and his administration and those who like Trump wont. So what else is new? I think the American people will see though this as the mere publicity stunt for which it is.

Make it seem like such a big shocking thing that you have a few thousand signing a petition of displeasure. So what? So maybe it'll be tit for tat in the future. Next time a Democrat occupies the White House his AG will get a petition against him.

I liken the mainstream media as being much like the Titanic's water tight doors and pumps the Titanic being the Democrats. One can wonder how can they loose with such a thing that supports them. There's much they can do but if it's the ship's destiny to sink then it's going to sink regardless. They said about Titanic even God couldn't sink her.....but we know how that story ended.

Too many people are not asking simple questions:

What happens when the media is no longer a free press?

What happens when the media itself takes on the narrative of a political party?

What happens when the news/social media of an entire country openly suppresses, censors, and bans/blocks speech contrary to that political affiliation/narrative?

How about someone with a voice as loud as theirs has been starting a petition for the Republicans to sign approving of what Barr has, is and will be doing in the future, I think there would be more than 1,100 signatures on it.

Exactly what happened in Germany in the 30's

Yes,
propaganda
[ˌpräpəˈɡandə]
NOUN
  1. information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.
Some of Joseph Goebbels planning:

8. Radio – Controlling mass media
nazi_radio.jpg

The radio broadcast was recognized by the Nazis as one of the most important propaganda tools in their arsenal. In 1933, their Minister for Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, called radio the ‘eighth great power’ and predicted that it “will be for the 20th century what the press was to the nineteenth.” He initiated a scheme whereby the German government subsidized the production and sale of cheap radio sets – the Volksempfanger, or ‘people’s receiver’ – limited in range to local German and Austrian stations. This placed the party’s voice in every home in the country. By the start of the war, nearly the entire nation had fallen under the radio’s spell and was bombarded with speeches and ‘news’ designed to brainwash the population.

7. Film and Cinema – Controlling the social sphere
triumph_des_willens_poster.jpg

While the party entered German homes, it also entered the social sphere, controlling what people would pay to go and see. A Department of Film was set up in 1933 with the expressed aim of “spreading the National Socialist world view to the entire German people.” Primarily it did this by holding film shows, a frequent and popular occurrence in German cities and towns. Hitler and Goebbels were both fascinated by the medium and regularly showed films in their own homes. Two of the most famous examples of Nazi cinema are Leni Riefenstahl’s Triumph of the Will, which documents the Nuremburg rally of 1934, and 1940’s The Wandering Jew, a documentary style attack on the Jewish people.

6. Newspapers – Controlling the press
dersturmer3401.jpg

Newspapers have always been a powerful means of influencing thought and opinion. The most notorious of the Nazi newspapers was Der Sturmer (‘The Attacker’). Although separate from the official party regime and Goering’s own departments (he actually forbade it from his offices), it was a major part of the propaganda war. Published by Julius Streicher, its tabloid style, rabid anti-semitism and obscene content won it favor with other party officials. Hitler himself praised its effectiveness in speaking to the ‘man on the street’ and was said to ‘read it with pleasure, from first page to last.’
