I was inspired by some of the 80s music threads to start this one. I know this will be difficult for many of you, and you may need prayer to get the courage to do it.....but let's all confess! Who had a mullet in the 80s?!?!?!?!? I did!

Dude, I had a sweet mullet. Almost got kicked out of high-school because I refused to cut it. But, for some reason, the "powers that be" just let it go and I never heard anything more about it.

I sported my Def Leppard t-shirts and tight-rolled, acid-wash jeans with my mullet, too!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Attention! Anyone who is reading this, if you have a mullet, do yourself a favor and cut it off!

What's sad, is that in Madrid the mullet is one of the most popular hair styles. I was there last month, I even saw 2 girls with mullets!!!!

I look through my mother's photo albums (she was my age in the 80s) and all of the guys had mullets.

Not I! But the mullet has already had its comeback during late 2003/early 2004 (hopefully never again because it was only 'remotely' better the second time round i.e. they were shorter and more of a long layered shag!)

When I was little, my dad and I went shopping one afternoon, and he got his hair cut, and started growing a rat tail to tick my mother off He had it a good while too... he braided it and everything Eventually my mom got quite upset (along with his I'm with stupid tshirts)
How my father's employer allowed him to have a rat tail is beyond me... but I guess if it was teh style then

Oh man, I had those bangs too!!! My mom was even worse... no joke, I am sure she used a can of hair spray every morning to get those to stay up
