  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

With discussion with the father, we'd really like to try cloth diapers for our baby coming in August. I've been doing a little research about them online, found a couple websites that seem to have good ones, but I can't find anywhere on the sites if they ship to Canada. I'm looking for advice from all ya'll on cloth diapers... what are good ones to use that are... for first time mommies (and daddies, lol)??? Are any cloth diapers available in retail stores (in Canada)??? Or do we need to do this online (which I am okay with doing)?

Also, as I understand, and it makes sense, a bag is needed to put the messy ones in until they can be washed (like while out and about)... at home we can put them in a pail of some sort. Suggestions with that stuff?

HELP! :) Please and much thankies!!!!!

My mom had to use cloth diapers with the twins, their skin was to sensitive.

She got them from a local baby store that sells them and has a washing service.

My mom got partially used ones for super cheap ($50.00 for about 100) And then she just washed them herself at home.

Any diaper pail will do-- I prefer a pail with a lid (others prefer a pail with no lid). Even a trash can will do.

Follow the washing instructions that come with your diapers- and your diapers will remain more absorbent and last for a llonger time. (My diapers are now on their fifth baby).

When I am out I have a ziploc bag in my purse to put the dirties in, and then dump them in the pail when I get home. You can also just use plastic grocery bags.
