For those that are divorced or in the process....how did closing joint accounts affect your credit score?

This may need to be posted in a different forum, but it is associated with divorce. I've got two credit card accounts that are joint and they have 21 and 19 years good payment histories. All other cards are less than 5 years old with good payment histories also.

Does anyone have any insight on how the credit score might be affected. Currently...my score is ~782.

MKD, close them ASAP. I'm not divorced yet, the house is the only thing left in our names. She has it, I don't want it, supposedly she wants it, but doesn't want to pay for it. It has gone delinquent, even though I had given her the $$$ to pay for it, she chose not to. Now my credit is shot...not like it was great before. There is nothing left, either I closed them, or she got them out of my name into hers. As long as you continue to pay your bills, you should be fine.
