This question comes from a mostly non religious family member discussing having a circumcision for their new child.
Do most christians still practice this, and if so, why? Isn't it an old Testement Jewish law? Why would God create man with a foreskin and then make him cut it off?
Personally, I think it's genital mutilation that's equally as serious as female circumcision, which is condemned as inhumane by most nations. Doctors don't even see a reason for it, so it seems to be rooted in old tradition.
