ok ive gone back 8 pages and cant find a thread about it so shame on you all !

i got this out on dvd last night after being recommended it by the girl at the video store and although ive always had a downer on russel crowe for reasons i still dont understand you cant fault him on his choice of films he makes

this is no exception, loved it !

based on the true story of jim braddock and is up and down boxing career, following his family life through the great depression which was a real eye opener for me as it was very well dealt with and educational, renee zelwegger was good as braddocks wife and im always happy to see paul giamatti who played his agent

Language? I didn't notice any either. Though I'm not generally offended by strong language, I still think I would have noticed if it where excessive.

I love this film! His story is an amazing don't give up one.I just have a thing about Crowe though and almost did not watch it.Glad I got past that,he was amazing.I bought this dvd and I don't buy many films.It pulled at my heart,made me tense and like boxing can be..it was at times nail biting.

liked it but it has adult themes. not for the 13-15 crowd for some reasons I won't go into.
