  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Our Church is small and we all have to work hard forGod because there is no one else. But we are a family and know each other well.
We are about 15 On a sunday and over 70% of the church is fully active all the time for Jesus. I wonder of the big 3,000 people church are all activest for Jesus? My brother goes to a big church but he says most of them are "passengers" So i am glad to be at a small church.. :p)

I attend Liberty Baptist Church in Lanexa VA. We currently have about 500+ on our current roster, with only about 300-320 attending on Sunday morning services (2 of them). I love the size of the Church because its just small enough right now that you can still know everyone by their first and last names. We are still growing thanks to the Lords blessing hand that is upon us. Praise Be To GOD!!!!!!

But I am about to attend my first Mega-Church this month. I have been asked by the Church staff to attend with the pastors the Pastors Confference at First Baptist Church in Jacksonville Florida. Looks like its going to be alot of fun. THe Church is just SOO HUGE!!!!!! they have people there that all they do is find the people that are lost in the building (literally) and use radios (walky-talkies) to help diredt them. They are also so big that they rent out their parking decks to the city durring the week for people that work down town...... man this is going to be interesting......

We're right under 1000 with two services. Our first service is the traditional service and is not well attended...maybe 200 people attend. The second service is pretty much packed. I think they're about to split into three services at some point in the near future. We're also embarking on a major building campaign...God is really moving.

I voted 301-500. We have about 300 that attend Sunday worship service, even though there is about 700 on roll. I came from a church that was a small, mostly family church. If I wasn't kin to them, they were close enough to be kin. It had about 50-75 in attendance.

I am the young adult there. .

I would totally be trying to get "funding" for the "young adults ministry", then you could take yourself to "events", and have the church supply donuts to your "class" that happens to meet at the same time as the regular service in the last pew on the right.

Funding....what's that???? lol...the pastor doesn't even get paid!! The church is in the black, but we just bring in enough to pay our bills each month. They want to pay the pastor, but the excess just isn't there at the moment. It'll grow in God's timing as long as we just stay focused on Him. He's already shown us His plans...just didn't include a timeline with them!!! Actually, my focus isn't on myself being the only young adult, as much as it is on getting the two teens interested in things.

The church I attend right now is the largest church in Michigan, a true megachurch that doesn't even want to be one *laugh*.
(btw, a "megachurch" is defined as a church with a weekly attendance of an average of 5000 or above)
Mars Hill Bible Church of Michigan (known affectionately as Mars Hill) has a weekly average attendance (all services included) of about 10,000. HUGE. MAMMOTH. But what are they preaching? The Word. Christ. And guess what: small intimate community. why is it that the church where small, intimate early-church community is preached and valued so highly is the place where thousands flock?
Dunno.
I may go there. I may be changing my ways a bit and leaving someday... but I do love it. and SNAP the teachings are unbelievable.
I go to mars hill too!!!! :D
