  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

One would assume that, in the House Church/Local Church movement, new churches get planted simply by having someone involved in that movement going to live in a new town.

This places a lot of responsibility on the elders to train up the young Christians to be ready in the event they move to a new city where there is no House Church/Local Church. It also places a lot of responsibility on the young Christians to press on toward maturity, and to be both willing and ready to be used in this way.

I agree with the previous post. However, the calling to plant churches is amazing, so if you're considering this, it's most likely coming from God's heart. Press on toward more maturity in your spirituality, seek God, and seek guidance from a healthy church you trust.

Hi Jaelyn,

Thanks for encouraging but I think some tweaking is needed:

The "calling to plant churches" is actually something an apostle does.
Notice what Paul said "I planted, Apollos watered, but God caused the growth."

We need to be careful about "christian phrases" such as "planting churches."
Really, the evangelist, apostle and prophet are key in this.

No other calling has this mandate upon them insofar as the government of God is concerned nor the establishing of a local community is concerned.

Read the word......particularly in Acts and you'll see what I'm saying is true.

Yes, only God plants a church fellowship, for the zeal of man can only plant more sectarianism. If one prays over Acts 2:41-42 and studies the Epistles one can learn something of what God intends for His testimony in the world. It surely is not more sectarianism to further divide an scatter the saints of God from "unity of the faith"; and that there be "...no schism" in the body of Christ but all of "one accord" universally. Bible-only is the only authority for the Church and God's pathway, I am very sure. One can find what God has given for His testimony in His Word if interested in looking there.

I appears that God's people have been taught wrong gospels,
false teachings and weird doctrines.

VERY few even want to hear this --> Biblical Christianity

What a shame!

People will sober up once this place (U.S.A) becomes secular enough and then the church will be persecuted in this country!

It's already a liberal place with no regard for God at all.
