Our church has it's own forum. Does yours?

Wow that's realy cool, my church doesn't but i think it would be great to be able to read and reply to people of your own church. Sometimes with how busy this world is we don't have time to talk to each other, I think it's great and a great way to bring the church closer together.

Yes it is and It's a great way to get to know people you might not otherwise try to get to know. I also like being able to view the Pastor's sermon notes and discuss theological questions.

We use phpBB's "user groups" and "group permissions" to setup specific forums for each ministry in our church, than provide each ministry members with access to their private forums. This provides each of our churches ministry groups a nice, safe place to share whatever they need to discuss. Of course, all the pastoral staff have access to all the forums, but we don't allow members from one ministry to have access to other ministries forums. We do have private forums setup that all the lay-ministers can access, of course.

All in all, forums have provide a great way for us to utilize our churches website to minister to not only our church visitors, but each ministry in our church.

Mine does not, we are just building a website now. For us I don't think a Forums is practical due to the same number of people in our church and I know for a fact very few use a computer on a regular basis.

My church was going to have one & I was to be the admin but I never got around to setting it up being so busy and all.
