Curious if anyone's church had anything or did anything this past Sunday for Septuagesima? Colors change, maybe something on the bulletin?

We have been visiting an LCMS church and best I can tell, nothing looked anything different than the previous Sunday.

Is this normal? I half expected to see something a change, but maybe I'm looking for something that isn't there.

Septuagesima is only observed by those churches that follow the historic one year lectionary. For them, last Sunday was Transfiguration Sunday. The liturgical color for these last three Sundays before Lent in the one year lectionary (Septuagesima, Sexagesima, and Quinquagesima) is still green.

we're still in the season of Pentecost, so the banners and paraments are still green....

I'm sure you meant to say Epiphany instead of Pentecost. ;)
