  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Some actual work. It seems that a lot of Christian games are sloppy and, honestly, boring. They need a good Christian RPG, that isn't sappy to the point of "reading Bible Verses increases your health", but still including some Christianity within it. Obviously this is a hard balance to keep going, but hopefully someone will do it.

For a Christian game to be successful, it has to be just as fun as the other games out right now. If it isn't, it won't sell too well, regardless of appropriateness.

No shooters, christian shooters are dumb and cheesy. Usually consisting of a wand or something that shoots magic stuff, idk, it's dumb. Really the only things that could work would be an RTS that simulates a historic bible war. An RPG would work great following certain bible stories and quests. If anyone has played Morrowind, it follows a very ficticious and weird religion, that interwines a story about God's and magic. The story could follow our ONE God, with instead of magic, use blessings and powerful miraculous spells (for lack of better word). But yeah, any other type of game wouldn't really fit well for a so called gaming "mature audience".
