That doesn't hold water.
God gifts us scientists, people born with golden clipboards, to interpret all of this.

Then why do you reject scientists' interpretation?

Then why do you reject scientists' interpretation?
If it goes against the Bible I'm supposed to reject it.Then why do you reject scientists' interpretation?
If it goes against your interpretation is a more accurate statement. If it goes against the Bible I'm supposed to reject it.
Your recall is correct!
Mom neither went to church, nor read the Bible.
Dad went to church and made my sister and me go as well, until we were 16.
The church was American Baptist by denomination.
I left it and went to Independent Baptist, KJVO.
And for the record, my pastor and I disagree on that too.
My pastor believes that, if the KJB was ever to be corrected, only the Textus Receptus is qualified to do so.
Whereas I believe that the KJB is superior to the Textus Receptus.
Done.![]()
I'm responsible for interpreting It correctly, as are you, as is everyone. If it goes against your interpretation is a more accurate statement.
Ain't no thang, my friend!I stand corrected.![]()
Yet, according to you, God gifts us with scientists to interpret nature for us. If your understanding of scripture goes against the understanding of God's gift for understanding, doesn't that imply your understanding is incorrect? If it goes against the Bible I'm supposed to reject it.
That's right.Yet, according to you, God gifts us with scientists to interpret nature for us.
If your understanding of scripture goes against the understanding of God's gift for understanding, doesn't that imply your understanding is incorrect?
Nope, although I might not agree with you, it is religious position so it is OK with me on that basis.I'm responsible for interpreting It correctly, as are you, as is everyone.
It's a responsibility I accept, and I like to think my interpretation aligns up with Its intent.
If not, I'll answer to God.
Anything wrong with that?
I don't know if you're one of the brainiacs who deny (or question) the existence of angels; but do you realize you will be judging them in Heaven?Nope, although I might not agree with you, it is religious position so it is OK with me on that basis.
What does this have to do with the discussion? Is this some kind of free association exercise.I don't know if you're one of the brainiacs who deny (or question) the existence of angels; but do you realize you will be judging them in Heaven?
1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
It means there's a time when even you are going to have to turn your back on what scientists are telling you and learn to tell them to take a hike. What does this have to do with the discussion?

If the Bible is vague, then maybe some scientists need to get saved and let Christ lift the veil, eh?
Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
Notice here where scientists are referred to as "kings" in God's eyes?
Solomon was such a scientist-king.
And in today's dispensation, where the Holy Spirit has now come to dwell on the earth, scientists have no excuse to claim "vagueness."
That's why I quoted Psalm 19.
And for the record, one has to only go to Genesis 2:1 to see that there are more than one "firmament" created.
It means there's a time when even you are going to have to turn your back on what scientists are telling you and learn to tell them to take a hike.
That's right.
