Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay

This was a pretty big game on the xbox, and I didn't see a thread about it, so here we go! Now I understand that this game isn't for everyone, espicially if you hate swearing/violence in video games -- and believe me this game has PLENTY of both. But has anyone played this game?

The gameplay is excellent IMO. Personally, I've never played a FPS that you could use stealth to sneak up on a guard and then break his neck and hide his body (I'm not sure, but I think Riddick is the only game that had this kind of gameplay mechanism for a FPS).

The storyline isn't much if you think about it; all it is is a criminal trying to escape from a maximum security prison...that premise isn't really anything new storywise. The graphics are just plain awesome! The lighting and shadows....its all just top notch in my book!

Ever played Theif? Pretty much what the games about. The first one was cool, but I didnt like it when they started getting into non-humanoids. Programmers getting lazy if you ask me.

Very good game.As a matter of fact i made a thread.The graphics suberb but it is no doom 3.

Riddick was incredible. A fighting game, stealth game, and first person shooter all mixed in to a single game. And it worked out seamlessly.

Oh and Pol, he was talking about doing those things in a FPS/action game, not a 3rd person stealth game.

Yeah, I really enjoyed this game except for all the violence and foul language.

I thought the story was great. I really enjoyed getting such a deep view of one aspect of the Riddick universe.

I heard a rumor a while back that because the movie didn't do as well as they hoped it would, that the sequels will be in game form instead! I kind of wouldn't mind that, I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm sure I'd like it and I wouldn't want the sequels to be the games.

But I do hope there will be another Riddick game in the future!

AWESOME! Haven't finished yet...2/3 through. Still fighting with ninja gaiden from time to time
