Chritianity has become a religion of anything goes
christians on here have said
it is ok to kill -going agianst the sermonon on the mount
not to cover your head in church-going agianst paul
ok to get interest- going against jesus
ok to be rich-going against jesus teaching to follow him and give aawy your wealth
christians spent so much time trying to fit the teaching to worldly aspirations
nit picking over hebrew or greek words
nit picking over intentions
all so as to fit the teaching to their wordly aspirations

christianity has become do what you want
that is why people se us as hipocrits

Nonchristians see christians for far different reasons than those . Very few even would know or concern themselves with Jesus being against interest . Very few would think that Jesus told people to be poor . Very , very few would look at the Hebrew/Greek thing as anything . Now , christians might be able to see hypocrasy in those that teach that the Scriptures should be obeyed when they see than no christian obeys all of the Scriptures and that the very christians that quote the Scriptures all deliberately disobey much of the Scriptures . So , christians or ex-christians have many reasons for seeing hypocracy in christianity .

With respect to nonchristians , they also have many good reasons for seeing evil and hypocracy in christianity . All they have to do is look at the blood spilled by the Catholic groups and a couple of the noncatholic groups from 1500 to 1800 and beyond . They only need to look at the Catholic scandal and how their leaders have yet to decide on what to do to about it . All people have to do is look at how people in the "bible belt" in the USA treated blacks and even had major splits in their denominations so that the Southern versions found the type of slavery there to be acceptable . All they have to do is see how those claiming to be christians and a part of so-called "christian nations" raped foriegn lands and treated native people like animals . Look at how extravagant their buildings are and their overall wealth while allowing people to starve . Look at the cathedrals and the modern buildings from all sorts of groups . I see farm land torn apart because groups want new and bigger buildings when other places are in easy reach .

I see many reasons for people to look at christians as being hypocrites . Your list is rather insignificant from what I have observed .

very christain respons i see -well thought out

Did you appreciate the rainbow effect? I think it is rather pretty and eye-catching. In any event, you can use it as a reminder of the proper spelling of "hypocrisy" and related words.

a christian who is shown to be a hypocrite and resorts to sarcasm to hid it

No sarcasm.

I'm one of the few folks here trying to engage you.

Would you like some ice cream? It is yummy and delicious!

You're weird. It's not "anything goes."
However, I do believe there are fake christians, but lot of them are not like that.

Some of these are because of the differences between Bible usage (the Hebrew vs Greek part) thus a difference between faiths.

Others are people whose particular faith resulted from a split of another so for revenge they focus solely on numbers and what the world thinks of them (too much time trying to fit worldly aspirations).

However, I would like to point out that a fair chunk of this post is a gross generalization. Here today we have 30,000+ faiths calling themselves "Christian". I'd say less than 100 (and this is a generous estimate) do not change at all and do not fit this category. Most of the changers are of Western mindedness "change every 30 seconds"

CaDan, may I have some? :yum:

I would like three scoops of low-fat, low-carb, full-flavor peanutbutter cup ice cream, topped with real peanutbutter and hot fudge, further topped with whipped cream and a cherry, and sprinkled with broken up reeces' pieces peanutbutter cups!

It's rather pointless to have low-fat, low-carb ice cream if you are going to top it with real whipped cream, fudge, and more peanut butter. :D

But for you, my friend . . . .

I didn't get that either....

I think since Christianity is the religion of anything goes, you should succumb and have full-carb full-fat ice cream and ENJOY IT!! :D
