Christmas
Its a time for all Christians to call to remembrance the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. The birth of Messiah was not the work of any individual, nor of any political system, neither was it born from any particular class in which men have devised, but by the will of the Father in heaven.
The Christmas season is a time of hope, a time for all mankind to examine their hearts; its a time to pass from our old nature to one in Christ Jesus. Our Lord has opened the door for all men to pass through to the Fathers throne.
This message was given many thousands of years ago to the prophets of God. Prepare ye the way of the Lord a message heralded by John the Baptist, Make His paths straight.
Gabriel an angel of the Lord came to Mary and said, Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. Thou (Mary) shall conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. And so it was!
Two thousand years have passed, as the message continues to be broadcast from sea to sea, from continent to continent, as even nature itself cries out to us, The Savior of the world, born of a virgin has come. This message of love has been carried along, and sustained by the Holy Spirit of God for all men to hear.
America is not merely a place on a world map, but an ever evolving nation of nations. We are a free people who have allowed like never before the iniquities of the world to creep into our homes, and our hearts. We have sharpened our barbs of corruption, of deceit and covetousness; barbs that are now bent further back than any other time in our history.
We kneel at the feet of our heroes, demand our own space, and show a growing, nonchalant attitude toward the true meaning of the birth of Jesus Christ; a position of mind that our hearts and souls appear to love.
Many have become unrestrained in their words, making trivial the meaning of Christmas, shunning and then driving back the written word of the miraculous birth of our Savior. The words and actions of many show a distain for the truth, as the masses of people push forward in their splendid extravagance to shower worldly gifts in this special season upon family and friends. As the trees in late autumn shed their leaves, so are we as a free people throwing off the splendid mercies of God.
But the genius of God is as the riches of a great King, something to be marveled at, something to hold close our breast, a thing that gives, a river that brings forth to us His endless gifts of love and mercy.
How can we ever know what it will be like to stand in the presence of our Lord and Savior? What will be the manner of our speech, our attachments to Him? What will be our understanding of Him? Only when we stand before His throne shall be know that we are His precious bride, a people having been renewed in the image of the Fathers beloved Son.
Let us again become a living nation under one God. Let us breathe forth again the truth of His Holy word. Let us become profitable as individuals, preforming only in love, and sharing our hope with others. Yes, the birth of our Lord Jesus remains an ever giving gift of hope, love and mercy from the Father. This one time miracle of the virgin birth has left upon us Gods everlasting mark.
Merry Christmas to all! May we be holy as He is holy; show mercy as He has shown us mercy; and extend our Christian love and faith as He has given to us His love. Let the Holy Spirit dwell in each and every one of you, let us remain faithful in all things praying continually.
