CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The subject is still Christmas, I'm just querying why God would think it's better to 'eclipse' Saturnalia with Christmas, but sit idly by while Africa suffers. If he does one, why not the other?

Perhaps He knew that, had Saturnalia been able to continue unchecked, Africa would be even worse today?

I'm merely remarking on the strange priorities of your God, which oddly, given the fact that you are supposed to be a Christian rather than a self-satisfied apologist, don't seem to bother you in the least. I'm figuring the joke mine was based on is rather well known.
Heck followup pointer for those who have not figured it out and are willing to work a bit to do so.
One should be able to search and with at most 2 or 3 tries find the original joke (and perhaps T-shirt you can wear to work).
Once you find the original joke it should not be hard ot find it explained online.
If not ask a computer geek.

How many times do we have to explain this to you? Really? People do NOT want God's help. They DO NOT want to do it God's way. The people who are willing to convert and go with God get all the help they need. Do you want God's help when your in trouble? Are you ready, able and willing to serve God with your whole heart, mind, soul and stength.
