Not sure about the "accident" and "no purpose" parts but I do know that their is a spike in suicides around the holidays that is specific to people feeling depressed becuase of feeling alone.If one believes that we are but an accident and that in fact we are alone and with no purpose, can suicide be far behind?
No one is twisting your arm. Christmas has become secularized, it certainly was not my goal.
This has always struck me as an issue when a religous holdiay is observed by the secular government. It seems that a by product is that it will become more secularized as time progresses since those that are not religous have the time off as well.
