Christmas Prayers & Blessings

I discovered a resource from a ministry I follow that I wanted to share. She's praying through the bible and every chapter has themes which match the ones in scripture. I sent Christmas Blessings to several recipients this year. Each petition addressed their circumstances and provided a dose of encouragement during the holiday season and I'd like to do the same for our community. May you be blessed manyfold in response. Merry Christmas.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Spiritual Alignment

Grieving for What God Has Refused -- 1 Samuel 15:10-11

Heavenly Father, you are God. You are all-knowing, all-powerful, all-seeing and present everywhere; You know what's best for me. Help me today to make peace with the doors, places and people You have rejected in my life so that I may look ahead to those You have approved. Please open my eyes to see that there is favor even in what looks like rejection. I choose to trust in Your will today and always. I will no longer waste tears crying over the past, Lord God. I hold onto Your promises, which are yes and amen in Christ today, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Building Within God’s Will -- Genesis 11:1-8

Heavenly Father, I bring before You my plans concerning (explain your plans to God). Even as I have just read about the plans of the people of Shinar who decided to build a tower for and city for themselves, but You came down to see their works, for they were not pleasing in Your sight, even though their unity and oneness to build was impressive.

My God, I pray You look upon my own plans (insert plans) and judge if they are acceptable to You, God. If they are good, empower me by Your Spirit for success and give me Your peace that surpasses all my understanding. Show me that what I am, building is acceptable according to Yoir will. I do not want to build anything in vain, but I desire to build with godly purpose and wisdom.

Therefore, my Father, according to Your everlasting mercies, grant me wisdom and understanding, even now, to build on these grand plans and ideas. By Your Spirit, give me direction and supernatural intelligence for Your glory and help me to accept the things that You accept and to reject the things You reject without fear or doubt. This I pray, in the name of Jesus, amen.

God's Promises Are Taking Too Long -- Exodus 13:17-18

God Almighty, You are perfect, Your ways are perfect, just and right! Today, I repent of complaining and accusing You and Your ways. The road You have been leading me on has been long and hard, but Your Word and faithfulness to the children of Israel have opened my eyes to see that Your ways are higher than mine. You chose the long road for the Israelites to go through instead of the shorter route, for their own good!

Lord Jesus, open my eyes to see this path You have me on, as You see it. I pray for understanding, that I may find peace and comfort in knowing that I am on the right path, even when I encounter difficult times. Father, by Your Holy Spirit, teach me to trust Your judgment and process in the name of Jesus, I ask and pray.

Today, I choose to rejoice and praise You for protecting me from the unknown danger I couldn't see outside the promises and processes You have ordained for me. Lord, today I choose to rest in You and Your peace fills my life and heart now. I pray that I arrive at my promise with greater faith and an incease in the fear of the Lord in Jesus' name, Amen.

Adversity

Courage In a New Season That Looks Hopeless -- Ruth 2:1-3

Lord God, I thank You that my circumstances do not define Your perfect will and purpose over my life. I thank You that seasons come and seasons go as You ordain. In this new season, I want to thank You for giving me the courage and confidence to walk into new territories that will open doors of notable victories in my life. As Ruth decided to get up, I too, chose to hold onto Your promises for me today, which are yes and amen in Christ.

I thank You that through Your wisdom and Truth, You are guiding me to make new decisions, choices and steps of faith through Your Spirit. Father, though some of these decisions don't make sense, I trust Your leading, knowing that You will never put me to shame, for You order my steps. Thank you in advance for positioning people who are like doors to my next breakthrough. Thank You for causing kindness to surround me like a shield in this new season of my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Letting Patience Finish It's Course To Possess Your Blessings -- Esther 2:12

In the name of Jesus, the trust of patience and long suffering is at work in me. I submit my mind, heart and soul to the will of God for my life in this season of training. I endure and welcome this training to the glory of God. I will not fail but will allow patience to finish its work in me in that I may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing for the next dimension of God's grace and favor. By the grace of Jesus Christ, I can do all things and have prevailed in victory through this season of training, in Jesus' name, amen.

Missed Opportunities -- Ruth 3:6-13

Heavenly Father, I am going through a season that is causing me to fear and make decisions outside of my faith in Christ. I see the power and reward of trusting in You through the life of Ruth, who continued with her mother-in-law even when she didn't know what the future held for her.

Help me, Father, through Your Holy Spirit, to find peace, rest, and hope in the unknown as I make a decision to continue by faith into the next season You have orchestrated for me. I do not want to miss any opportunity that You have placed in front of me. Guide me and keep me firm in my walk as Your Spirit leads me. I thank You for Your Holy Spirit, who will always alert and confirm Your plan and words. This I pray in the name of Jesus, the King of kings. Amen.

The Anointing of Success -- Genesis 39:1-3

Heavenly Father, You were with your servant Joseph in Egypt, and You made him successful and the works of his hand to prosper because of Your presence. You made Joseph's master prosper for the sake of Joseph. Though Joseph was a slave and was in bondage, Your word declared him to be a success and to have favor. God Almighty, I ask that You open my eyes to see the favor, success and prosperity that Your presence brings into my life.

Help me by Your Spirit to cultivate the anointing of success that comes from Your Spirit. Teach me to walk in Your Word that I may prosper in my way according to Your promises. Help me to avoid shortcults and cultivate a diligent attitude of servanthood. Lord God, remove everything and anything that is hindering your anointing of success and favor to fully manifest in my life. Open my eyes to reject those things, even as You have rejected them, this I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Relationships for Singles

Prayer for My Future Spouse (for Men) -- Genesis 2:18-22

Almighty God, I thank You causing me to come into favor because of my future wife. I thank You for making this woman a living being in You and a new creature in Jesus Christ. Father, I thank You for the salvation You gave to my future wife and that You created her only for me in the name of Jesus. I pray that by Your Spirit, she will begin to draw near to You. Father, when You created Eve, You took her out of Adam and made her a woman. God, I thank You for my future wife, who is suitable and adaptable to me. Thank You because You gave her the wisdom to honor me as she honors Christ.

I pray that You protect her as she prepares for me. Most High God, protect her from the tricks of the enemy, from the deception of fornication, pornography, vanity and the temptation of wanting to be accepted by the world. Father, as You prepare her for me and as You prepare me for her, in this process, I pray that there is no delay and no error. God, I thank You for Your grace and power which is on my future wife at this time. Almighty Lord, I thank You for the work You do in her life. I thank You because You prepare her by Your Spirit so that she can walk according to her calling as Your daughter and also as my wife.

In the name of Jesus, I speak to the spirit of my God ordained spouse. My future wife, receive the Word of God, which says that it is not good for me to be alone and that God has made you my helper to be comparable with me. My wife, I speak peace and self-control as you make your way to me, your husband, and to be presented to me whole. I speak chastity to settle deeply into the inner chambers of your heart and soul. Every spirit of fornication and adultery has no power over us. In Jesus’ name, I prophesy to my future wife to keep your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, I bind and cast into the pit of hell every spirit that wants to hinder your wholeness or destroy our union. I render void, every host of hell working tirelessly to frustrate my future wife from being found by me in Jesus’ Name. In the name of Jesus, I speak to the spirit and soul of my future wife that you will not be hindered from recognizing and seeing me tangibly, physically and spiritually. When God brings you to me, you will notice me and recognize me without doubt as your God ordained husband according to God’s will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer for My Future Spouse (for Women) -- Genesis 2:18-22

Heavenly Father, I thank You for putting the breath of life into the man You created for me. I thank You, Almighty God, that You have made this man a living being in You and a new creature in Jesus Christ. Father, I thank You for the salvation You gave to my future husband, whom You created only for me, in the name of Jesus. Father, I pray that by Your Spirit, he will begin to draw near to You.

Most High God, when You created Adam, You caused him to fall into a deep sleep, and You took one of his ribs, closed his flesh and made her a woman. Likewise, I pray that, as my future husband rests in this season of preparation, You protect him. Father, protect him from the tricks of the enemy, protect him from the deception of fornication, pornography, wrong associations, violence and temptation of wanting to be accepted by the world.

Father, as You prepare him for me and as You prepare me for him, in this process, I pray that there is no delay and error. God, I thank You for Your grace and power which is on my future husband at this time. I thank You because You gave him the tools to love me as Christ loves church. Almighty God, I thank You for the work You do in life because You prepare him by Your Spirit so that he can walk according to his calling as Your son and also as my husband.

Relationships for Engaged/Serious Connections

My Eyes and Heart Are for My Spouse Alone -- Song of Solomon 2:2

Father, when You look at me, it's as if I am the only one among all the billions of children You have. In Your presence, it's as if I am the only one that matters, yet You have millions of children also praying to You at the same time. Lord God, You have a way of making me know and realize how special, unique, and loved I am by You. Teach me to express this exact nature towards my spouse. When I stood in the aisle on my wedding day, I made a vow to choose my spouse every day; yet, without Your wisdom, strength, and ability, I am unable to do this.

Today, I ask You for new eyes that see my spouse the way You see. Help me to view (insert the name of your spouse) as the only one. Guide my heart with wisdom to know that my spouse is unique, amazing, valuable, precious, attractive and irreplaceable. By Your Holy Spirit, rekindle my heart towards my spouse and give me the zeal once more to pursue and love them. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

A Wife is the "Only Ideal" to her Husband -- Song of Solomon 2:1-2

God the Father has made me His royal daughter. I take my position in Christ as the rose of Sharon and a lily of the valley to the man and king that God has brought me to (or will bring me to if you're not yet married). I am God's jewel, unique, fearfully and wonderfully made. I am irreplaceable and incomparable; there is none like me, there is only one of me.

My identity, power, value and worth are hidden in Christ, and my husband recognizes my value through the lens of God's Word. I see myself worthy of being loved well, provided for, and cherished by my husband. I am humble and willing to submit to my husband's headship with ease and joy. In the name of Jesus the King of kings, Amen.

Things That Spoil Marriage Over Time --Song of Solomon 2:15

Heavenly Father, empower and help my spouse and me to be vigilant. Open our eyes to Your wisdom and understanding, to discern the foxes that come to steal, displace and destroy our marriage. Counsel and teach us by Your Holy Spirit to not be too familiar with each other or ignorant of marriage, despite our years of experience in marriage. Strengthen us to watch, pray and put on our armor that we may stand in evil days. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.

Fruitfulness and Multiplication in Marriage -- Genesis 1:27-28

God Almighty, the Creator of all things, the earth, the heavens and all that is in them. You created marriage, and You commanded a blessing upon it; the blessing of fruitfulness, multiplication and dominion. This blessing is the inheritance of those found in Christ. Through Jesus Christ, you have restored to us this command and blessing. Still, Lord, in some areas of my life and my spouse’s/future spouse (name the areas), we have not yet seen the physical fulfillment of this word.

According to Your Word, Father, release ministering spirits today who will usher in Your promise to us. In Jesus’ name, let them remove, destroy, and subdue everything unseen hindering my spouse/future spouse and me from witnessing the total fulfillment of the command and blessing of multiplication, fruitfulness and dominion that you spoke to the first Adam. Father, let this Word not return to us void. Still, in Your everlasting mercies, bring healing and restoration to my marriage/future marriage today that we may experience the glory of this blessing according to Your perfect Will, I pray, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
