CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Mishap # 1 a taper candle caught fire to the wreath below it and our centerpiece went up in flames..stunk!
Mishap # 2 our Christmas dinner was pizza due to our ham not being done cos my parents thought it was precooked and it was a huge ham that takes 5 hrs.
Mishap # 3 the top lights went out on our tree leaving my dad rushing around trying to find lites from any store open at 7 pm Christmas eve
could be worse...we had a family here whose entire home burnt down due to a space heater

Speaking of the candle, there was a lady nearby Denver who brought home a fancy "candle" from her trip to Mexico... It wasn't a candle, to her surprise. It was in fact a heavy-duty, professional, firework. She lit it, her house exploded. But, she lived. I think that could be the worst Christmas ever.

my mishap this last Christmas was I forgot who had which gift after I wrapped like 4 gifts of similar sizes!!!!!!!!!!!!
