There was no imposing,You imposed yourself on a question I asked to another poster. My conversation with the other poster, his comment, my question, had NOTHING to do with "HOPE".
Again, YOU are the one who brought up gender, not me.Obviously you can't, and your choice of Bible, My gender, your hope, blah, blah, blah...are nothing more than an irrelevant deflection.
Now you are deflecting, not me, (I never did).Just admit you have no scripture basis for agreeing with the Israelite's were killed for making a golden calf.
p.s. Are you a minor, or an adult.
fyi, I am an adult.
Just admit you have no scripture basis for agreeing with the Israelite's were killed for making a golden calf.
Perhaps you should actually read the book of Exodus and you might discover the Israelite's wandered around for 40 years. Ya think those were DEAD MEN wandering?

I happened to read up online that Christmas is a pagan holiday that the Catholic church adopted to convince pagans to join their church. That it actually originally worshiped the Sun God or something like that. Is it true? And if so, are we not to celebrate Christmas?
I don't recall seeing that ALL Israelites were killed... there were actually 3000. You really like the game of semantics don't you?
The point was that God had them killed because they were practicing idolatry when the they knew the truth.
Since this is the reference you use, first of all are you a man ?
Second, there is nothing about the golden calf or the people killed that is a reason for my hope , so that is a wrong application of your choice. (you made a mistake)
There was no imposing,
and you are the one who brought up "HOPE".

No. They are two separate forms of governments, with some similarities.
A more in depth conversation about the differences, are not appropriate for this OP.
God Bless,

Democracy refers to rule of the people.
A republic refers to having public representatives.
Athens was a democracy.
Rome was a republic.
The United States of America is both a republic and a democracy; our representatives are democratically elected. Hence a "democratic republic" is an accurate description. A non-democratic republic could exist, in which representatives for the people exist but are not chosen by the vote of the people; that was Rome's model. But that isn't the American model, the American model involves democratically elected representatives.
