When my Dad's Mum was alive she would often be in charge of Christmas day, her turkey with chestnut stuffing was legendary and she was a good entertainer- though one who caused a lot of problems for others.
Nowadays with my parents having grandchildren out of my brother and his wife, Christmas Day tends to be just immediate family, no cousins.
I enjoy cooking the turkey and managing Christmas Day myself though it means I can't go to Church in the morning as easily.
Before/after Christmas lunch we usually have presents, if am in charge it's before. We might play a game after lunch or half the family will go nap.
Am the only one who really does Church in my family though.
