CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I always felt like the Christmas Spirit started on Thanksgiving afternoon.
We would go celebrate Thanksgiving at my maternal grandmother's.
After the Thanksgiving Dinner we then would help her decorate.
One of my "beloved" tasks was to set up the nativity scene.

I love sharing my baked goods in general but especially at Christmas.
When I was younger I use to make multiple varieties of cookies.
I also baked different types of breads and different fudges.
These days I bake less but still gift others with goodies.
Wishing you all Christmas cheer.

When I was a teen we attended a church that welcomed navy families.
We would invite some of the single navy men over for the holidays.
I remember they so enjoyed the "glow" of our Christmas tree and
being able to share with a family even though theirs were far away.
Those Christmases were some of the dearest I remember.
