Christmas and All by myself

Its interesting. I have chosen to stay by the computer and figure out what my next steps are and behold it briefly begins to snow! The weather men were forecasting a nonwhite Christmas here in Boston! Last night as I was driving home amidst all the disappointments being heard in the Car I sang "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!" and that's all. Boy did it.

But it can also snow in your life in not so likable ways where you wish it would never snow again. Today I received a letter from CNN regarding the 700 club. They talked about not being able to host our author on their show. Mentioned that the book deals with apologetics. Not sure what that I was I looked it up.

Now here is a book written by a man who is like our President in his country with status and power. Yet, he was given a message to share and folks who are in charge of media are afraid to share. What do you think? See for yourself. just visit drnormanking.

We are never alone.
God is always with us. I'm sort of the same here, no friends at all to hang around with so New Year is going to be pretty much the same.

But I believe that God is here, willing to talk to me all the time.
Don't worry, He's always there.

Merry Christmas!

The 700 Club does its own teaching, and most of their guests come on to talk about their experiences. Even when they promote a book, the focus isn't usually about the content of the book -- they draw in a lot about the author's life.

Media centers like CBN are inundated with requests to promote books/films/products, so it is nothing personal. There are millions of authors, thousands of published ones, hundreds of well-promoted ones... but probably fewer than one per week that are featured on CBN.

It is an honor that authors are grateful for, but authors also know that these opportunities come and go, with much out of their control. You have put together your website, and that is one part of promotion that you can manage.

The CBN show probably has a flat rule about what types of content they bring on. Apologetics could bring in controversy in doctrine (even though your book seems uplifting), and that would change the nature of what the show tries to accomplish. The 700 Club tries to support Christian life, and brings more of a self-help message to the viewers.

Keep trying. Publishing is a rough and bumpy road, but very satisfying. You know that God sent you on a mission, so keep believing in it even when money and publicity are not compensating your efforts.

And don't forget to wear gloves in Boston!
