Christians Making Videogames

I want some advice for this topic. Basically, I'm unsure whether or not Christians should make videogames like we do movies. But with that to say, If you do, then you still have basic access to all the other games with immorality in the sense of sexual promiscuity, violence, language, and others among these.

Do you think Christians should make/develop Christian videogames?

And with that to say, if Christians should then should it be blatantly Christian or just videogames with Christian values?

Christian videogames would need to have the quality mainstream ones have but morals and story-lines we can trust.

The greater question is distribution. How will you get it out? Have you researched the industry? Are you contemplating an app or something else? Those are the things you have to consider. And don't believe everything you hear about films. Always look at the distributor and production. Someone has to grease the wheels to move ahead.

Most people can't afford to fund their project. That's the second hurdle. Who's paying for development? If you're looking for money it usually means a stake in the company with voting power. The best approach is a side hustle that generates revenue you can use towards the idea. If you're relying on others to fund your dream there's lots of fine print involved and it isn't pretty. Choose wisely.

And that's very true! If, lets say, we're talking about a Christian action game like Zelda or something similar, then there's the development, concept art (probably a lot of it) and the stress of making the quality the same or equal to the level of thought (or finances) behind big tech companies or just other devs in general

I think a game can have a 'dark' world (like real life anyways), but still bring something positive or make you think godly or nice stuff.

It was a bit more involved than that. Anything that influences young minds gets more scrutiny. Video games are propaganda tools. Someone who supports the agenda is preferable to one who doesn't. You need to know what happens if you don't play ball. What you're willing to risk and your weaknesses.

You can't go by who made it big. You don't know what they did to get there and the lone ranger is a marketing ploy. The truth comes out eventually.

The game to be successful, needs to be liked enough. They can't stop people who likes your product from buying.

And today more and more game companies are forcing crappy modern ideologies on every big game, so is not like they care for the spiritual or mental health of young kids really.

And I think that's exactly why we need Christians making videogames... if not outright Christian, we can atleast bring good values, and care for the spiritual and mental health of our audience.
