for me, someone mentioned that we are supposed to be like Ned Flanders. haha. very funny. That is not what I meant. God designed us to be unique and different. God gave us special gifts for us to use whether it be art, or singing, or being extrovert or what ever. However I still think using drugs prevents us from being able to know what God wants us to do in our lives, and prevents us from developing a close relationship with God. Like the good bible says, lean not on your own understanding, but lean on God's.

Just my thoughts.

We should think of it like caffeine and alcohol. I use both, and I also use Cannabis, as well. I think Christians really just struggle with stereotypes associated with Cannabis, and aren't really facing the issue of the plant on its own. It's pretty ridiculous. It's just a plant. Use in moderation.

I believe that recreational use of mind-altering drugs is prohibited. Ie: "Do not be drunk with wine.", etc. Messing with our brain's functioning via chemicals is just another fleshly diversion that can carry all sorts of destructive consequences. However, if I were in need of severe chronic pain management, I would try it before opioids, which are very dangerous.

Prohibition against getting drunk isn't a prohibition against drinking alcohol, period. That's pretty obvious in Scripture. Cannabis should be thought of in the same way.

Agreed. Shame really it's not fully legal everywhere. I know several people that use it for chronic pain management and insomnia and it's pretty much a wonder drug. Nothing 'legal' has helped but some 'green' works 60% of the time, all the time!
