All my fantasy is distinctively Christian, though not heavy-handedly or tritely so. C. S. Lewis was my biggest inspiration, so incorporating Christianity in my fantasy writing seemed almost inevitable. I don't write overtly Christian stories in any of the several other genres in which I write, however.

I have to admit, I loathe about 98% of published contemporary Christian fiction, and this has an effect on what I write. I want my work to reflect Christian ideas and themes (redemption and forgiveness is a big one for me) but I don't try to put anything in there that is obviously Christian.

I agree with Tariel... most of the Christian fiction that has been churned out is trite, uninspired, and drippingly sentimental.

I totally agree with you. But please don't kick me out for saying that I enjoy reading it at bedtime:sorry: I don't write it though

i find when i write i try to write alot like my favorite authors especialy my all time favorite Simon R Green. I like his writing style alot, and i also found that he tends to add alot of christian influence in his books often making many of his characters christians. so i am trying to do something very similar to what he does in his writing.

Yes, I do and I am a published author of YA fantasy. The whole reason I began writing was because my daughter asked me to write her a story since everything was dark or Harry Potter like and she didn't like that.

Not everyone who reads fantasy likes the darkness or heavy handed displays of evil. Thus I set about to write a story that contain the elements of fantasy but with the hope and faith of Christianity.

The first book is now available, and with God's blessing, will become a series. For further details and to read an except please google Allonbooks and you will find my website.

Blessings & Enjoy.

I agree, Christian themes are better than Christian teachings themselves. Even if someone doesn't believe in Christ they usually do believe in virtues like honestly, love, ect.
