At another website I have often worked with (CARM), I noticed that they had a section on the boards that seemed dedicated to differing religions--and with each of those religions, there were distinct forums dedicated to each of them. They were:

  1. Buddhism,
  2. Confucianism,
  3. Hinduism,
  4. Islam,
  5. Judaism,
  6. **Religions Other**
  7. Atheism/Agnosticism/Sec Humanism
Although they had other places where people could discuss, there were specific places for others to feel as if they could congregate/have their own discussions....and it seemed to work out well for people since the reality was that they were given a place to discuss concepts that were either not explictly Christian (in regards to the views of that site) or directly dismissive of Christianity. Their focus seemed to be more so on helping other Christians with apologetics, as well as aiding others in working with those who do not accept Christ.

The reason I thought of making a suggestion with this is mind is that as I was going through the forums, I noticed that the main places available for talk with unbelievers were the places such as Christianity and World Religion...and although I love many of the conversations there, something that seemed to come up was how others often felt that the place allowed for discussion between non-believers and Christians while seeming very broad...with there often not being a way to streamline conversation topics when so many differing topics on religions existed altogether.

That said, I was curious as to whether CF has ever considered perhaps breaking things down further so that there'd be more room for focused discussion on differing religions/religious topics so that so many threads would not be lost....and others wouldn't feel confused trying to keep up.

If this has already been suggested, cool. If not, I do think that perhaps it'd help with keeping things flowing :)
