Hello there!

I stumbled upon this whilst trying to find Christian forums on which I could post and advertise for a Christian/family friendly guild that I am attempting to create on my World of Warcraft server, Boulderfist. I felt however that it might behoove of me to let others know about a flurry of Christian guilds in World of Warcraft which already exist and are quite successful in game. Thankfully, it appears that they are not conversion squads, but actively seek to combine both a strong, Christian community with video gamers who like to raid the big dungeons and such.

Because I apparently can't add links on this forum, please Google something like Christian WoW guilds, and you will get a link at the Christian Gamers Alliance forums for information on Christian guilds that might be on your server. I have heard that there are more, but I don't know of them specifically. It's unfortunately difficult to recruit in game because Blizzard will generally stop recruiting messages that have religious speak in them, whether that be Christian, Muslim, or Pagan. Also, by and large the majority of WoW gamers are antagonistic towards people of faith, so using the official forums can (and has for me) be(en) mostly flame wars. I have taken to making a macro in game that points people to the website and advertises that the guild is casual and family-friendly.

I personally am trying to make a Christian guild on the US server Boulderfist, to my knowledge, what will be the only one on the Horde side, and possibly the server in general. Since I am not a hardcore raider, and don't have the time to play most of the day, I am trying to create a semi-casual PvE/PvP guild whose main focus is to develop a tight knit community of believers who want to have fun together, doing raids, battlegrounds, basically whatever sounds fun. Non-Christians are welcome so long as they respect the opinions and beliefs of others. No restriction on classes or levels. I'm still in the process of finding signatures for the guild charter, so even people who play and just want to help out by making a Horde character to sign the charter would be greatly appreciated, even if you don't plan on playing on the server. I only have my wife's character's sig and a fellow I met who responded to my guild website. I really do pray that this can get off the ground. Name of the guild is "The Fish and Bread Trick", in reference to the feeding of the 5000. Please go to the website Guildtag, and look up "The Fish and Bread Trick". My main character's name is Iorokan, and my alt is Junataro.

Many blessing.

Best of luck with your guild! I'm over on Zul'jin, mostly Alliance, although I have a little cow shammy I'm leveling. Our guild isn't expressively Christian, but we have the same basic rules as most Christian guilds I've seen (we're a bit more lax about profanity and there's no rule about nudity, but running naked through Dalaran yelling obscenities on a toon in the guild isn't exactly encouraged!). I'm going to go take a nap now, but I'll try to catch you later and make a horde toon if you still need sigs for the charter.

Thanks very much Evenstar! If you know of anyone else who might just be willing to sign the charter, too, that'd be a big help! Even bigger help if they'd like to play a toon on Boulderfist. ;-) Sometimes I think people are hesitant to join up because the guild isn't actually a guild yet, just a compilation of a few people waiting for some others to be found.

Thanks to Evenstar again. Found her in game. 7 more signatures to go!

One other thing, I just realized it's quite difficult to find The Fish and Bread Trick guild website through Guildtag. Please PM me on the forums here, and if you are indeed interested, I can point you in the direction of the website from there.

Thought I should update this. After some deliberation and basically figuring out that Boulderfist is unreceptive and/or antagonistic to a Christian community forming (sad but seemingly true), I and another fellow I met from the official WoW forums have teamed up to form a Christian guild on Ghostlands (CST, PvE server). If you're interested, look up my new character, Balero, or Chestypullr. Since a lot of people are making new characters, the guild will focus on leveling and a Christ-centered community.

Little busy today, so I will be logging in intermittently to advertise and/or grab people for the charter. Thanks for reading!

First I would like to say thank you for making this website. I will have hours of reading to do now

I would like to welcome all Christians to the "Promised Light" Guild on the Stormrage server. We are Faith and Family friendly and will do whatever the rest of the guild would like to do. Since we are new we may become a raiding guild in the future or be more or less a social guild.

I do not care if you are level 1 or 80 you are welcome here. If your main is on another server who cares! Create an alt and play the game with other Christians!

Look me up. My name in the game is Glandy (it was random).

In Christ,
Paul J.

Agnus Dei on Gilneas is an active 10 man alliance side raiding guild which was formed by Christians and whose officership is made up of Christians. I have three or four toons in the guild including my main, Greenbrier, level 80 raid Boomkin.

We are actively recruiting players of every level and are looking for more to fill out regular raid slots. Being a Christian is not necessary to join but we do have a pretty strict G-rated behavior requirement for all members.

Current progression is beating our heads against the faction champions in ToC10 with occasional forays into Ony10 and beginning ICC but we do heroics as a group regularly and have a decent mix of regular tanks and healers available for this so we don't often have to pug more than one or two slots. This makes it easy for us to help get badges for new 80's who might have a hard time in pugs.

My experience with this guild has been overwhelmingly positive and I would encourage anyone interested to give us a try.

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me here, ask in thread or even contact a guildmember in game.

Glad to see that there is Christians out there trying to capitilize on spreading the gospel around while playing WOW. This is a great oppurtunity to get to the people that heavily rely on playing games and have never had the oppurtunity to
be witnessed to through Christ. I myself have just started a Christian guild on Bladefist called Soldiers For Jesus on horde side because there are no Christian affiliations on this server. Hopefully i can get this guild up and running efficiently. WOW is definitely a good way to spread the word and get to unbelievers by witnessing through our Christian guild name. Glad to know there are people out there still willing to do Gods work even if it is through a video game. If anyone on this server would want to join just send me a message to Cyndsonnia or tolroth and ill gladly invite ya.

Fair warning: Blizzard will likely ask you to change the name of the guild (or change it for you) since it has explicit religious affiliations (though I doubt they'd take issue with a guild called Jeebus Save Us). Tribe of Judah's Alliance guild, Redeemed, started as Gods Peons, but was required to change names when Blizzard took notice.

Thanks for the info and if they ask i will change the name as i already have several Jesus names besides soldiers for Jesus without the Jesus word being in it. But i do know the policys very well as ive played for a long time and do know people that work for blizz and may even accept it. There is leopolds in it even if Jesus is a religious word. There are many ways around that. Thanks for your imput and if you have any suggestion please post back. God Bless and God can work in mysterious ways.

Hi Tek7- good to see you about and around.

There are a lot of guilds to choose from and I feel it's important to find one that you feel comfortable with when you are looking for a guild. Other considerations are game play. If you live in New York, you might find a West Coast server a bit glitchy to play on, so check server locations also. I've started a guild on Stonemaul, which is a West Coast server. Child of Aslan is for Christians and friends of Christians who want to play in a family oriented style guild. I have a website on weebly if you want to check it out- just google Child of Aslan or Tribulation Force (our horde guild). May God bless you all in your gaming endeavors to glorify Him in all we do. - Mouse

So, I rolled a toon on Stonemaul, applied at the Tribe of Judah site, was accepted, and got into the guild <Redeemed> and so far it's been like a lot of churches I have been to: everybody who has been there for years knows everybody else who has been there for years and doesn't really talk to newcomers except for one guy whose "job" it is to be nice to visitors and he's not there very often.

Very cold experience thus far.

Sorry I wasn't able to respond to this sooner, been on vacation with my family and just got back. Redeemed seems to be into Raiding very much and appears cliquey, but they can be friendly too once you get to know them. I left Redeemed for my own personal reasons and started a guild on the same server if your interested. You can catch my on line as Schmeea, Krystalla, Neednair for alliance (or look for someone on Child of Aslan or in game post to me) horde I haven't played much yet.

God bless

Bringing Back a dead thread =).

I've been playing wow sense release and Just found this thread.

I'm thinking about making a alt and just wondering if any of you guys maybe wanna make a alt with me or will help me out with my alt =). Like, letting me into your christian guild, helping me with quests or dungeons, starting gold and what not. I'm looking to make a priest or mage.
