Christian Tom Clancy?

Hey all,

I'm trying to find a Christian author who writes books like Tom Clancy. (or Clive Cussler) I'm going to start reading The Assassins, (by Oliver North)
but I want to start find new books like this to keep reading.

Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I don't know of any shoot 'em up kinda books written by a Christian authors but I've found Bill Myers books to be good.

One I think you might like is by Mark Andrew Olsen...very intruiging book entitled The Assignment. If you like suspense, you'll like this one.

This may sound wild, but John Grisham (the author who wrote The Broker, The Firm, and many others) could be a good choice. I read somewhere that he's a Southern layman for Christ.

Two words, Ted Dekker. Read the circle trilolgy, thr3e (which will be a movie this march), and blink. hes an excellent writer

Dekker: definately. Read his Blink and move on to Three or the trilogy Black/Red/White - all are good thrillers w/o the Clancey R-rated trash scenes.

I've only read one book by Tom Clancy the new york times say that The Left Behind book "combines Tom Clancy suspense with touches of romance, high-tech flashes and Biblical references" - The New York Times

Well, I read the Assignment, and I found another author... Christopher Lane! I read Tonopah, and I'm starting Eden's Gate. Lane is a REALLY good author! And, I'd recommend the book by Churck Norris, The Justice Riders, it's awesome!

You could try "The Testament" by John Grisham. It's about a lawyer who has to track down a Christian missionary who was left a fortune in a will. It was the first of Grisham's books I've read and I thought it was good.

He started a series about terroism, with the first book to have been published right about the time of 9/11/2001.....about a group that was targeting the US! There are three books so far: "Shaiton's Fire", "Firefly Blue" and "Fuel The Fire". All three are available on Amazon for $10.00 each.....or can be found at Christian bookstores. They are excellent, with lots of action, suspense......and have a Christian hero.
