Hi Guys,

This may be a bit controversial, and I've fallen on extremely rough financial times messed around by landlords and by employers , so this isn't a long term thing, but I have drawn dreams and such in the past and other religious artwork and was wondering to offer myself to commission to friends and family, I've drawn Angels and created christian artwork on the side for a while now, for free. Here is an example of some of my work. This was from a dream after God sent an Angel to Balaam to warn him.

While its not mandatory, I would really appreciate anyone who would be willing to commission me for a piece of artwork either for yourself or friends or family. I understand if you have no interest.

A word of advice: stay away from images such as Iron Man. If Marvel caught you selling such a thing, they would have you in court faster than Ben Grim could say “Clobberin’ Time!”

I'm not sure about that. My father was a professional artist. He sold pictures of famous people somewhat regularly. The trick was that they were originals. The minute you make a print, now they got you. lol

I'm not sure that would work any differently for a character or a product.

George Lucas started this one with the Star Wars characters. People were coming up with fan-fic writings and paintings and he wanted it to stop, so he trademarked every main character in the stories. And his lawyers sued anyone using his trademarks for BIG $$$$$.

It. ight have had something to do with Allan Dean Foster, who ghost wrote “A New Hope” for Lucas. Foster made his name writing unauthorized Star Trek novels.He was also interested in buying out the franchise and would have done so had the first movie not been such a huge success. Lucas did NOT want any attempt at a hostile attempt, so he found a way to lock out Foster, and everyone else as well. So now any trademarked name or image can only be used with the (paid) permission of the owner.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised since they are making GMOs and patenting them. Soon we'll have to pay royalties to have a garden in the back yard.

Ever wonder why a robot designated C3PO was spelled something like SeeThree PO? The former was not unique enough to trademark.
