I like Epica, I have most of their albums. Im glad that Simone does most of the vocals, I cant stand the grunting (cookie monster vocals). Simone is an incredible vocalist. Somewhere I have a really cool picture of her and Tarja standing next to each other. Wow I was just on Epicas website and see that they have a new album. I'll probably buy it shortly. Yep, you're right about the nonexistance of symphonic metal Christian bands. Such a bummer. Classical music was my first love, when I was a kid I played the clarinet and I wanted to play the oboe in an orchestra. Then I got braces and I discovered rock and roll and it was all downhill from there. I started playing the drums and dropped the clarinet altogether. I had a nine piece double bass Tama but I got rid of it a few years ago because I havent played in so long and I needed the room in my shed. The other bummer is that there arent very many Christians that like heavy metal, and I had to walk away from that whole scene (drugs, partying etc) to get my life straightened out. I dont mind the lyrics being in a different language so much if the music is good. A lot of Therions albums are in Swedish, but the music is so awesome I dont really care. And then when I do look up the lyrics, I kind of wish I hadnt. I'll have to give HB another listen, I havent really liked too much of what Ive heard so far.
