just wanted to add that it's not bad having non christian friends but I believe you need some christian friends too - they can support you and so on - but you've got those here at cf anyway, it's just that I prefer having them sitting in frnt of me when talking to them

As for christians at college: is there a christian union at your college???? Maybe not but that would for sure be a place to meet fellow christians.

At my university there is one but that's not very much of a help as I don't really know the people there and when they meet but there are a lot of girls from my church studying English (like me)....

I'm sure there are other christians at your college. It's sometimes pure luck that you find out
I once helped a girl get something done on a computer in our common room and went to have a coffee with her afterwards and we found out we both were christians, partly cause we talked and partly cause she was wearing cross earrings and a fish on her necklace .

So you might as well try to look for such specific christians signs worn by other students....

Hello and thanks for the welcome!!
I think meeting at CHristian unions and things like that are a wonderful way to meet fellow believers and to share your faith with one another. As you stated above, there is nothing wrong with haVing some friends who are not believers, but it is extremely important to have friends that are Christian as well. If one does not have Christian friends and spend time and share with Christian pepple, it will be hard for that person to grow in his or her faith.
I bypassed the whole having to loook for a Christian union thing and went straight to a Christian college! I love it so much becuase we pray before some classes and we have a daily chapel which is just amazing. I feel that I have grown so much while at college over the past five weeks and I wouldn't trade that experience for the world!

There's a Catholic college/university where I live, but I've chosen to go to a different one...

Anyway, CF is a great place to meet other Christians.

indeed - cf is a great place.

It's funny but I just started chatting online in English cause our teachers told us if we want to use the internet we should use it to pratice our English and so I looked for a christian English-speaking community and ended up here

I found CF when I was looking for something for a school essay... on some other website I found a link to a thread on CF and I've read it. I started reading some other discussion & debate threads and I just wanted to say something too... so I joined.

There isn't a christian union at my college b/c it's only sixth form..there will be at the uni I want to go to.
